My Chemical Romance is being screwed by being ignored as an emo goth band, they actually rock, like Foo Fighters level at a minimum. They have a clue musically and while it is clear they have a "creative" lead singer, most bands do. They have even done some rather decent videos in terms of filmography, look, layout, costuming, etc.

Give them a second listen, especially the songs Helena, The Ghost of You, and Hang 'em high.

I don't care what genre people consider them to be, whether Emo or Rock; they're currently one of the most popular bands in the USA. Being screwed? ignored?! Lol. MTV ate them up and pooped them out in a way that made them mega-millionaires.

Edit: To clarify, my above statement is not reflective of the opinion I hold regarding the talent MCR may or may not have.

yeah screwed seems to be the last thing that is happening to mcr right now.

I'd have to agree. They are all over the airwaves, both radio and tv. This album was a massive success. I couldn't even try to consider that underrated.

I dont know where you live but MCR is all over the west. Personally I don't care for them, I find their music quite dull and didnt think their show is any better.

Yeah yeah, but commercial success is moot, Britney Spears makes a shitload more and no one regards her as a musical anything.

But these pale white boys actually rock and that is why I feel they are underrated.

Queens of the stone age, yes they have gotten their share of 'success' but they are a MUCH better band than MCR
