Since we are on the subject of movies, I am curious to know what you guys think is the worst sequel of all time. Here's the rule: in order to be a truly bad sequel, it cannot have any other movies in that line fall after it. So for example, you cannot use Star Trek III: The Search for Spock, since good Star Trek movies came after it. You can use Batman and Robin because, mercifully, nothing has followed it thus far. The movie doesn't have to be mainstream, but it has to have shown on the big screen - thus straight to video sequels don't count against the rule.

My current choice for this award goes to Caddyshack 2. But I may be mentally blocking out other sequels for safety reasons.

While I do agree Caddyshack 2 did in fact suck balls, I am going to go with every teenybopper slasher flick that has plagued the bigscreen for the last several years, ie:

Scream
I know what you did last summer
jeepers creepers(nice plastic mask! *cough*)
etc...

These movies should never had been made, much less the sequels..

First movie was great...sequel had nothing to do with it, but for the Coreys and their characters named the same. It was a travesty and someone should burn in hell for even thinking of writing that POS script:(

they had wrapped up the story - was just a winona-sigourney vehicle and it sucked.

American Pie 2 was good

And some people eat maggots and say they're good. AP2 was teh suck. Just like RH2, it was a near carbon copy of the first movie trying to cash in on the success of the first and failing badly. If you want good college kid type humor, go buy Van Wilder.

Yeah I am with you on Caddyshack II. I mentioned it in the other thread on worst movies ever. They took everything that was funny and good in the original and replaced it with tripe. Yes, Chevy Chase was in it, but he ran out of funny a long time ago. Same with Dan Aykroyd. Oh, and I hate Jackie Mason. a lot

Blues Brothers 2 was way worse than Caddyshack 2. BB2 was an insult to the memory of the first one.

I agree with you, that if I had seen Blues Brothers 2, I would probably pick it as worse than Caddyshack II. Luckily I have never seen it and consequently have not poked my eyes out.

That sucked too, but it was not a sequal. Leonard opart 6 was, mysteriously, a sequal to a movie *parts 1-5* that were never even MADE.

its not a sequel, but the worst movie ever, hands down no contest was Brother, starring Beat Takeshi and Omar Epps.
fucking horrible script, acting, directing, editing, everything was horrid.

Aliens 4 made OMGIAMRETARDEDCAUSEALOTISTWOWORDS more sense if you had read all the books and some / most of the Dark horse style comic books. Basically what happens is that lone little suriving alien on the military transport manages to get blown out / away from the ship before it went nuke, and found itself a nice place on Planet Earth to hide.

To quote Fark:
"Hilarity ensues". Baiscally Earth gets overrun, and it's not until the actions of a brave freighter pilot (Ripley, i think, did this.. I KNOW she was tied into the story there, been a while since I read them last.. I could be mistaken) manages to kidnap the queen, and drag her in a shuttle over the surface of the planet.. all the bugs come running behind looking to rescue their only source of sex on the planet.. they get them to congregate together.. and humans remember why neuclear warheads are their friends.

As far as i can remember every girl and there mother that i know at least hates this band due to the lyrical content. If u listen to their first record it all evolves around some love of his life that broke his heart or some shit like that. so u here lines like that through the whole record. Although u didnt mention gender... it's still obvious that it deals with beating a woman and u also know this since the singer is a guy. so it's going to upset any reader that thinks woman abuse is the SUCK. hehe it's your sig... so its going to reflect on you /shrug.
