I don't think it's a coincidence that many of these men were good-looking in their "prime"
but that could start a whole new discussion on being attractive vs. world domination ;p

Being an attractive person generally gives you greater self confidence. You need confidence to succeed. I don't see how you can't draw some sort of correlation between the two.

Irene Saez. Not exactly a world leader, but got close.
Irene Lailin Sáez Conde (born 13 December 1961) is a Venezuelan who won the Miss Universe title in 1981 in New York City, and later became an important figure in Venezuela's political arena.
Sáez became the mayor of Chacao (a small district of Caracas) and then ran for governor of the Nueva Esparta state, a title which she won. In 1998, to the surprise of many observers, she announced that she would run for President in 1998. She ran for the presidency, but lost to Hugo Chávez (see Venezuelan presidential election, 1998).

She lost though! I'm talking Margaret Thatcher, Cleopatra, Joan of Arc type leaders...not mayers or governers of small territories in already third world countries! : )
If the size of her crown counted, she'd be queen goddess supreme commander of the universe.

They seem average to me as well. If you factor in lifestyle, I think JFK had the whole look/lifestyle thing going on during his presidency. He bagged Marilyn Monroe even while having a hottie wife in Jacqueline and hung out with the Rat Pack!
