either way, I am hoping for a damn good game. I am also hoping neither team shows up with their horribly mediocre mindset that they are both prone to do.

ESPN.com was saying OSU/Texas was one the 5 must see games of the year.
Should be a good game all the way around.

Yeah, I am looking forward to it either way. Like I said, if both teams actually show up it will be a good one. Hell, I didn't like Michigan before the Rose Bowl, but it was a damn good game on both sides. I only bring up Michigan because it IS OSU btw

At least we can now be spared watching Oklahoma losing the title game by 50 points again. Now if OSU can beat Texas the Big 12 can shut the hell up about how great they are and we can maybe get a good title game.

I was glad to see OU get blown out by USC, but it did suck to be the title game. I don't think any fan should support their team's conference!

I support Texas, and I hope they live up to all of the pressure being put on them. Yeah, they should be good this year, but they did lose key players on both sides of the ball. I am more interested in their defense vs the pass this year. That's the one place I think they can stand to improve the most.

2 receivers with 100 yard games, the QB breaks the school consecutive competion record, and the coach isn't satisfied. I love you Urban.

The LSU/Arizona State game is being moved from Baton Rouge to Tempe, AZ due to the ongoing relief efforts in the area.
I really didn't want home field advantage for this game, especially considering the reason ASU is getting it. I'm going to feel bad if the Sun Devils win by only a few points.

TCU is going to be this years Utah or Boise St.

They were one game from being last years Boise State, hehe. I remember liking them when I was growing up just because I used to catch horned frogs all of the time.

So was that two really good teams playing or two good teams with really bad offenses? I know the defenses are tough, but that was a lot of dropped balls and bad throws.

I'm a Penn State fan actually. Nice try though.
I would love to see the new coach for Notre Dame do well though. Routing for my Lions is futile right now until the old man retires finally.

LSU will be playing at Tempe this weekend. I think this will be the hardest game of year now for the team. ASU appears to have a solid team after its annihlation of Temple. I think the combined unexpected road game plus the aftermath of katrina that the lsu team is not going to be as focused as they normally would be.

Goooo Devilllls!
I feel bad for LSU having to miss it's opener and then lose the advantage of a home game while playing a ranked team the next week. ASU got a warm up/tune up game that LSU missed out on last week before this big game.
It looks like the game is going to raise one million or more in relief aid for Katrina damage so I'll feel a little better if ASU wins now.

I am not predicting a ASU win, but this will be the hardest game on LSU schedule now. It should raise OMGIAMRETARDEDCAUSEALOTISTWOWORDS of money and ASU has agreed to play a makeup home game to lsu which was also a nice gesture. I don't how many ppl from Louisiana can realistically make the trip now, so all you Arizonians need to show up!

Both the AP and USA Today Week 2 polls have LSU ranked #5 and ASU ranked #15.
This is a HUGE game for ASU. If the Sun Devils come up winners, they should vault into the top 10 which will set up a top ten showdown with USC on October 1st at Sun Devil Stadium.
The concern this year was about the offense since all time Pac Ten TD leader QB Walters finished his career and has moved on to the Raiders (where he's looked great in pre season)
Our new QB threw for 4 TDs and a bucketload of yards in three quarters though and the freshman RB ran for 134 yards and a TD. Hagan, our all American WR also got his 2 TDs in the three quarters the starters played. Our all American TE Zach Miller hauled in a TD catch as well. Our offense looks to be in good shape and our defense was already considered good.
I'm looking forward to this game!

That UM/FSU game set football back about 50 fucking years. Both teams deserved to lose.

Well Winnow,
LSU sqeeked out a win. It was overall a good game, very thrilling. LSU played sloppy, and if it wasn't for special teams would have lost the game. I was very impressed with Keller. He has a quick release, and a great arm. He ate up LSU defense, passing at will on them. I think ASU could end the year with only 2 losses on thier record.

Yeah, the ASU/LSU games was a fun one to watch. The blocked punt and kick returned for TD's killed ASU.
Grats to LSU for hanging tough and pulling out the win. The best ASU can do is play spoiler if we get really lucky when USC comes to town.

After beating OU, TCU choked to SMU this past weekend. SMU a team that is still recovering from the death penalty.. OUCH
