The Broncos are morons for using a third round pick on him and Clarett is a fool for not taking the original 400K signing offer.

He'll get picked up by some desperate team. Maybe he'll be smart enough to get some money before they cut him again.

ROFL! No danger of that.

yeah, seriously, he needs to fire that agent. I mean, honestly, a person who never touched a ball in the pros actually fighting for a contract layden with incentive based bonuses.
Up front money is never a bad thing....had he taken that 400k, I doubt the broncos would have cut him.

I saw reports that said he didn't look bad in camp but the broncos have A LOT of rbs this year. I have heard that Ron Dayne is looking very good in their camp. The Broncos know how to use a running back better than anyone else in the league.

Maurice is learning the hard lessons being a stupid punk. Had he just kept his stupid mouth shut and taken his suspension like a man, he could have had a good career at OSU or at least transferred to a Div-AA school and had a couple monster seasons.
I know that the coach of one of the historically black schools (Howard or Grambling, my memory sucks) wanted him to come there. Which, IMO, would have been the best thing for him, because it would have gotten him away from the hangers-on and other sorts of bad influences that helped him fuck his NFL chances.

Shanahan already loaded up on CBs with his first picks and knew other teams wnted to get Clarett in the 4th round... he took a gamble, but he really wanted to burn that compensatory pick.
And yeah, the Broncos are fully loaded in the RB department with Anderson, Bell, Griffin and Dayne. Why Clarett did not accept signing bonus is beyond comprehension. The dude did not try and he already had his teammates not liking him.

If you don't like a sport, nobody cares. If there's a conversation about the Pan-Am Water Polo Games and you think water polo is for pussies, stfu and click on the next thread.
So shut the fuck up and post in another thread!

I think Sueven has shown that Stragi has indeed violated the one rule that Sylvus has set forth in the Sports forum.
I call for a Stragi Banning!!
....I favor this banning not because he violated the rule, but because anyone that dislikes football to the extent that stragi does is obviously a waste of human material and should not be permited anywhere close to anything pertaining to sports.

the sad thing is stragi, the OSU buckeyes could probably beat the arizona cardinals.

Oh how the "mighty"
have fallen.
Another article said that in addition to his four guns, he had a hatchet and half a bottle of vodka in the car. That guy knows how to party!

Officers used Mace to subdue Clarett after a stun gun was ineffective because the former Fiesta Bowl star was wearing a bullet-resistant vest, Sgt. Michael Woods said.
Doesn't everyone wear a bullet-resistant vest these days?

When your name is Clarrett, and you ride hard like that, hell yes!
They had to mace him, that's my favorite. The video I saw on the news this morning showed him in the back of the car, basicly looked like someone kicked him in the nutz 12 times....I hope the newspapers take it as him crying, and not the mace aftershock. We need more anti-heros!

Not like he didn't have his chances. Very sad.
I don't blame him for the hatchet or vodka though--those are like accessories these days for me.

COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) -- Former Ohio State football star Maurice Clarett agreed Monday to plead guilty to aggravated robbery and carrying a concealed weapon. The deal would send him to prison for at least 3 1/2 years and end two criminal cases against him.

There's always the Canadian Football league after that!
