Nice map. There's a huge red dot over my hometown but after clicking on it, the various names are from the entire county, not just from a specific city.

Hawaii and Alaska have been lucky. They aren't even on the map.

Edit: NM, I zoomed in and the red dot is Phoenix covering some other colored dots.

Looks a lot like a population distribution map to me...

Yeah you can clearly make out mountain ranges and deserts, but it is logical.
