Secret says it's strong enough for a man, but PH balanced for a woman.

What exactly does that mean? Does that mean if I woke up and was very tired and put on my girlfriends deoderant instead of mine that I may have an unsightful rash or perhaps the body chemistry combination of my sweat and the Secret solid would leave unflattering stains on my undershirt?
These are things as a man I do not know, perhaps someone can shed the light of truth on this female deoderant mystery?

Btw I also feel women's deoderant is far more effective than a man's. I not only smell fresh but I feel fresh too! It's llike a summer breeze with a hint of rain on the wind.

PH balance is an insignifigant, unrelated hormonal difference that Secret has latched onto because they expect that most women don't know that PH balance is an insignifigant, unrelated hormonal difference.

That's the extent of my chemistry knowledge.

EDIT: BTW, if you find something that smells good, by all means, use it... Just tell the cashier it's for your girlfriend

Actually a couple of years ago I ran out of deodorant. While searching through the BR I found some Secret that my wife didn't like. She usually uses that gel stuff and this was the standard stick. Since it was a "shower" type scent more like I use anyway I was like WTF, at least I don't have to go to feakin' Wal-Mart for a few more days if I use this (I hate Wal-Mart).

So anyway I use it and by the end of the day it was like I haddn't used any at all. Not that I stank but that my arms seemed to be rubbing together. It was the same feeling as if you jump up to mow the lawn early in the morning before you take a shower or put on any deodorant. Anyway I didn't think much about it and just put some more on when I got home. I used this stuff for about a week, yea no WM for a week! By the end of the week though my underarms were all chapped, red and broken out. That weekend I had to not use anything and let them heal up a little.

So, the Ph blanace may be BS but it definite screws with my system. It might yours too.

Personally I would prefer another one for my spouse whatever the brand!

And either way, if both peple use one you're using just as much as if you had two so... No real market advantage here that I can tell.

Oh...and have you ever tried those "rock crystal" deodorant sticks...a solid mineral-like thing that is supposed to control sweat and odor? They do NOT work!

Did you break or tried to break a sweat yet today? Nothing worse than having sweat mix in with that powder and get a nice cake stuff going on underarms

Oh and I get your point Aslanna, but it's my hubby, we've exchanged bodily fluids before, worse than sweat lol Though I do know where the disgust comes from to keep your deodorant to yourself. I was thinking more in line of buying 1 type of it, I have at least 2 bottles/tubes at all times in the house, one in each bathroom.
