My reliable 1990 Honda Accord was stolen the other night. Now, the question I ask is do you think I will ever see it again? Please discuss.

Most stolen cars are recovered. What I am wondering is why anyone in their right minds would risk a GTA charge for a 13 year old honda.

I'd say number 3, possible joyriding and crashing into something. I'd hate to put this bad thought in your head but it's a likely scenario... :(

Granted, you probably wouln't have this in a 1990 vehicle.

probably kids fucking around or crackheads or something. yeah risking a felony for a car with minimal value is fairly foolish.

so my guess is the car will be trashed and left in a ditch or something.

You'll probably see it again. I wouldn't hold out much hope for the tape deck though.

Or the Creedence.

No tape deck. I had an aftermarket CD player installed. Yeah, yeah I know it is an older car. However, it was what I was left with after the divorce. It was a reliable car and it was paid for. Can't really argue with that much.

I have been looking at getting something new. Hopefully, the insurance company will actually call me back and tell me what the procedure is for all of this.

I had my Honda Civic stolen in summer of 2000 after owning it only a month. My girlfriend came over when I went to walk her out it was gone. Fuckers! They found it 3days later striped.

Well

Well, off your topic some, but last winter a guy from my work had his car stolen right in front of his home.

It was the first and only snowfall of the year, my friend went outside and started the car... seeing the snow/ice he left it on running to warm it up as he went back inside.

He came back out around 5 minutes later and the car was gone. Stolen.

Later that evening the car was found at Wal-Mart, the police suspected something was up and waited on a stake out. The person who stole it came out of Wal-Mart and was an employee, he went right to the stolen car and got inside and started it up.. then they busted him.

The guy said he was suprised at the snow and wasnt going to walk the 4 blocks from home to work in it... so he grabbed the car that he saw was running with no one in it the previous morning. He said that he had planned on returning it as soon as it warmed back up.

/? dumbass? The friend, the thief or both?

That sucks man! Accords are one of the most stolen vehicles, particularly in Cali where the market for Honda parts is huge (see: Icy Hot Stuntas).

You should use the insurance money to buy a Cadillac SUV with a V-16 engine :P

Honda Accords are a good reliable car that haven't been totally over engineered like most American makes. Hence they were easier to hot wire and steal. Not to mention the after market for parts is pretty big. Has anyone ever priced parts for foreign cars? It is hefty to say the least.
