I was a Howard Stern fan for a long time, until two months when I bought a Honda Accord and it came with 3 free months of Xm Radio. Well I am hooked on XM Radio and mostly channel 202, which is Opie & Anthony. Funny fucking guys. I highly recommend it. Check it out for free at...

I'd go with a satellite radio solution but I listen to AM talk radio primarily so I'm out of luck until local AM stations are included or one of the companites make a combined Sat/AM tuner.

I'm an AM freak too Winnow. I never listen to FM. I enjoy talk radio programming.

Winnow, they have several stations that are topical "AM Radio" type shows. They have a liberal talk station, a conservative one and several others. They also have comedy channels (Great for traffic). They have all sorts of things. I used to listen to talk radio and sports stations all day. Now I never turn them on. The XM is in my house or the Car. My wife got addicted and now she has one.
As for Howard, O and A have been ripping him a lot lately. It is pretty funny when they play a snippet of Howard claiming he invented the man on the streets interview and how people steal everything from him. If I remember correctly, they have been doing goofy celeb interviews and funny man on the street stuff long before Howard.

Considering Opie and Anthony got together all the way back in 1995 (omg so long ago) I seriously doubt it.

Opie and Anthony is just a way different show than Stern. I prefer O&A now because it is just fucking funny as hell and they are always surrounded by comedians. I love comedians.
I had all plans of buying a Sirius Radio so I could listen to Stern, until I listened to O&A for a few days. I'm hooked on O&A now.

I did not say O&A claim they did man on the street interviews. I think it is funny that Stern thinks he created everything when Steve Allen was doing man on the street interviews long before Howard saw a microphone. Howard does good radio, he just takes credit for a lot of crap he stole from others. The same way some have stole from him.

Local talk radio, not national : )
Local politics, news, and sports is what I listen to on the way to work.
Unfortunately, AM reception sucks but sort of like a few years ago when not receiving local TV stations was the problem with DirecTV satellite for some, maybe sat radio will find a way to broadcast local stations. If DTV can do it with video and transmit 5 local stations in each major top 100 market, it should be much easier to do with just an audio signal.

As a long time Howard Fan i'll be going Sirius, i wish O&A were there also instead of XM, I loved their show in the afternoons. Does anthony still talk about his Shaman on EQ or did he move to WoW?
