I just started working at a theatre Saturday, so I not only get to see it for free, but I get a private showing a day before it comes out! :D

not to insult any anti-drug people on this board, as i do not know them..but you do seem to forget FOOD can be a "drug" and those addicted to food, bad food for one can be far more unhealthy then a "drug user"

lol. I need food to live. I don't need drugs to do the same. I mean seriously, why try rationalizing it? Just about anything in excess can be unhealthy for a person. I'm not sure what that has to do with drug use.

The replies you're seeing were prompted by his idiotic posts in NWS. If you don't like it, tough titties.

Food for thought (pun intended), the only two idiots that have ever accused individual A of abusing food are Cartalas and Atokal. Two people who have never met or associated with that individual outside of this message board. I believe you can arrive at a meaningful conclusion from that information.

Yeah, if you don't think drugs have done good things and can do good things you're living in a fucking fantasy world.

How many examples do you need exactly?

And no I am not dismissing the "BUT DRUGS ARE BAD FOR POELLPE!" argument, I just don't see it as the only concept regarding drugs worth mentioning and feeling superior over.

Yes but, Nick, no one in this thread has said that drugs are bad.

Favroite character:

WEDGE!

He was in all 3 films, advancing through the ranks from Red 2 in the first to Red Leader in Jedi.

The Empire is so misunderstood. Damn those rebels.

Favorite character: Palpatine/Emporer

Does the Empire really oppress anyone? I haven't seen anything in the Star Wars movies besides maybe some undesired taxing in Cloud City that was bad.

It seems like the Empire is just trying to standardize things. They're trying to bring a little order to a chaotic universe.

Although the early version was not well played by Ewan McGregor (not that he's a bad actor but I don't think he was right for the part), I like Obi Wan Kenobi's character.

Am I the only person that doesn't understand the frenzy that people go through waiting in line/buying tickets weeks in advance for movies these days? With the distribution of theatres nowadays there should be no reason to re-enact the dorkiness of camping in line for days at a time for a movie. There has NEVER, in the last 15 years, been a movie that I was unable to see the day it was released because I didn't buy my tickets in advance.

Well they did blow up an entire planet and kill off Luke's foster family. It's strongly implied they do at least.

I bought tickets to Episode 1 at the theater about 15 minutes before the showing on opening day with no problem.

Alderaan was the home of Leia and as such, at minimum, in league with the rebel alliance which was causing all sorts of problems for the Empire.

As it turns out, Leia lied about where the rebel base was so blowing up the planet turned out to be justified.

Has it ever been proven that Lukes uncle and wife were killed by Storm Troopers? That may have been a made up story by Ben Kenobi to get Luke fired up about leaving with him on his quest.

Does anyone else realize that Jar Jar Binks is the reason for the death of all Jedi, rise of Palpatine, and the turn of Anakin to the dark side?

Seriously, that floppy eared froglike moron was the one that gave emergency powers to Palpatine!

That's a popular notion, but it's really not true. Jar Jar was only filling that role so Padme could go offworld and seduce Anakin. Remember that Jedi are forbidden to love, and she knew that. It looks very innocent on first examination, but the reality is, the entire destruction of the Jedi order, and rise of the Empire were all due to Padme.
