Will this egomaniac EVER get on the field?
Browns tight end Kellen Winslow Jr. was injured in a motorcycle accident, but the team said his injuries aren't life-threatening.
Not Life Threatening. That leaves the injuries pretty much wide open to speculation. I say he's out for this upcoming season.

Grats Cleveland on a BUST pick! Hello next J.D Drew. Maybe years down the road he'll have a mediocre career.

That's almost as bad as Richie Sexson, who stole 8.6 million from the D-Backs in 2004. He played for about 2 weeks and then went down for the season on a checked swing shoulder injury. The fucking pussy had the nerve to come back the following off-season and demand a huge guaranteed contract and ended up going to the Mariners.

footballguys.com wrote:Hi Folks,
The news on Browns' TE Kellen Winslow Jr seems to be getting worse. We
told you last night about the financial issues where Winslow could
potentially have to return some of his bonus money to the Browns for
violating his contract forbidding activities like motorcycle riding.
This morning, Clark Judge from CBS Sportsline is writing that the
Browns are concerned that Winslow may have torn the anterior cruciate
ligament in his right knee and be lost for the season.
Here's the link:

Clipped from the Clark Judge article:
The Cleveland Browns are concerned that injuries suffered by Kellen
Winslow Jr. in a weekend motorcycle accident will prevent the
second-year tight end from playing this season, NFL sources said.
The primary problem, sources said, are potentially significant
injuries to the right knee and right shoulder -- with the club unable
to determine the extent of damage to either until swelling subsides.
The swelling in the knee was considerable, sources said, with the
Browns fearful Winslow may have torn his anterior cruciate ligament.
The club also suspects Winslow may have suffered ligament or tendon
damage to his shoulder, sources said.
In addition, sources said the Browns believe Winslow may have suffered
a punctured lung and an injury to his kidney, but that neither had the
club overly concerned. A source close to the club said the kidney was
bruised.

And the hits keep rolling. More bad news for Winslow and Browns fans.
We'll stay on top of it for you.
I've always operated this thing on a "You'll Know What We Know" basis
so I'll also pass along that I'm hearing UNCONFIRMED and OFF THE
RECORD comments that Winslow is injured more seriously than what is
being reported. Mr. Judge's article above fits right in line with what
I'm hearing. I have a source connected to the hospital that's saying
he's done for the year. Please understand, this is NOT confirmed. I'm
not saying he's done. I'm saying I have a friend who has connections
to doctors at the hospital that are saying he's done for this year.
You can take that for what it's worth. But I felt I wouldn't be doing
my job I've promised to do for you guys if I didn't pass along what
I'm hearing – even if it's not confirmed.

if he misses games it will cost him a lot of money.

too bad that cant void his contract. That would be the best option for the Browns.

They may not have to. Alledgedly (I've heard this reported twice) there's a stipulation in his contract that says he has to stay off the motorcycle. (which makes me laugh btw)

I hope he loses the majority of his money and never plays in the NFL. He's and ass and on top of that, he broke the rules of his contract. He needs to get hooked on dope and die early.

it can absolutely void his contract.
regardless it would be foolish to drop him without finding out the recovery time frame for his injuries.
sure on sports talk and at water coolers it sounds good to say "dump the loser", but this is a $40 million dollar investment/asset. It is stupid to make a snap decision on it.

I hope hell rejects him. Eternal hellfire is too good for him. He should be banished to limbo to walk among the other eternally damned.
The dude rode a noise poluting MOTORCYCLE! This has nothing to do with football!

I swear I will get a bike, rip the exhaust off and rev it outside of Winnow's house all night.

This is too funny. It would only be better if would have been trying to hold out for more money.

Cleveland is going to take a large portion of their signing bonus back, as well as withholding scheduled payments. According to the police, you can see Doofus trying to do wheelies and shit on the bike.

as much as i don't like the guy (for the same reasons as I don't like T.O., Keyshawn Johnson, and a few other WRs that think they're heaven's gift to football) I still can't deny the man's talent. He's good, damn good. I highly doubt he will be mediocre when he does play.

He may have been good in college but I have yet to see where he is going to be good at the Pro level. He has already proven that he is too frail to compete at the NFL level. I will go out on a limb and say that he is all hype riding his dad's name and has a lot less talent (and brains) than people think. A torn ACL can still ruin a career, especially for a position that relies on speed and quick cuts. I seriously doubt he will ever play again in the NFL.

He'll play. The Browns have too much invested to not play him. He prolly won't ever amount to shit because he's too fucking stupid and full of himself to LEARN ANYTHING EVER.

Fine him the full 4 Mil, bench him for the season and trade his ass halfway through for a low first round pick.

I don't know who would give up a first round pick for him at this point.
