Hoobastank was kind enough to fax in a performance that was insipid, boring, droll, and poorly played and sang. I am not sure what was going on but they need to fire their sound guy at a bare minimum. Either that are they should not be playing live.
Velvet Revolver - With their mixture of dead bands and the thinly vailed allusion to Guns and Roses in the name, this band should suck. They don't. They provided a couple of hours of serious rock and roll covering a few GnR songs, a couple of STP staples, a decent "Wish You Were Here" cover and all in all had a solid performance, good showmanship, and a decent set of tunes. Exceptional Mr. Brownstone cover.

Hoobastank are a laughable bunch of incompetent retards. A poor Incubus rip-off band.
Velvet Revolver are playing here in a few weeks, might give them a go, although I have to say I have yet to hear anything by them that actually makes me sit up and think anything other than "cock rock".

Well considering Scott seems to have taken a class at Perry Farrell 101 for Lead singers who are looking a little gay, that name would be ooky. But they are cock rock, just some of the better of the genre.

I went to the St. Paul show less than a week ago and I got the same feeling. First off, why the fuck is Hoobastank should be playing with Velvet Revolver. Considering their last major single was "The Reason", which makes most people who like VR well sad. The VR part of the show was well better than I thought it was even gonna be. Scott's antics during the show make it more than interesting. Don't die Scott!
btw: Kylere what outfit was Weiland wearing?

Spangly silver low riding pants, gayish Freddy Mercury type shirt, Martial looking jacket, and what looked like a bondage out fit cop hat.
But he rocked, so no biggie, Jane's is cool and Perry is gay, Elton is cool and GAY, and of course Freddy Mercury bled music and he was gay, so no one think I was insulting any gayness, just damn it was kinda, well, not in match with the cock rock spirit, unless you are a Judas Priest Fan heh.
