In summary Bud Selig is proposing:
First steroid offense, fifty game suspension.

Third steroid offense, lifetime ban.

He's waiting for the players union to agree. The players should agree considering they're all innocent and have nothing to hide.

PU is in a tough spot. They desperately want to tell Bud Light to shove his proposal, but it knows Congress is watching them like a hawk.

In other news, Barry Bonds' recovery is slower than expected.

Finally, a decent punishment. Hopefully it does get accepted but I wont hold my breath.

Just for reference, in international sport, the punishment is:

1st offense: 2-year ban
2nd offense: Lifetime ban

I found this news article about "performance enhancing contacts" interesting.

I don't think it's illegal to wear sunglasses so I doubt contacts that act like sunglasses will be an issue:

My dream of polerized contacts is one step closer to happening! Need almost instant polarization or people would die frequently going into tunnels and such : )

Cool beans. I am glad they are taking a hardline approach to this finally.

It's negotiations. They'll settle somewhere in between the two years and 45 days or whatever the other guy proposed for the first offense.
