Randy Couture vs. Chuck Liddell

Fast fight but a good one. I was surprised at the result due to how much Randy dominated thier first fight. Chuck landed an unbelievable right and pretty much knocked Randy the fuck out. When he hit the mat, he followed up with a couple ground punches, but the fight was already over with the inital right.

The fight lasted less than 3 minutes, a stark contrast to the fights leading up to the light-heavyweight championship. Most of those fights lasted at least 2 rounds, with only one decision. The rest were submissions/ta-outs. Very good fights overall, but none of them could hold a candle to the Forest/Stephen fight from last week that was broadcast Live on Spike TV. That was the best fight I have ever seen in any capacity. Those guys went full on from the momment the fight started till the end of the 3rd, where the decision went to Forest, but no way I could've scored that in either man's favor.

I'm surprised not see anything in our sports forum about the Forest/Stephen fight. It was breathtaking. If you ever get a chance to watch it, I highly suggest it.

I slowly got into The Ultimate Fighter soon before the Semi finals and then fully on after that, I couldn't get enough of the show.

The Forrest / Stephen fight on the Spike TV finale was amazing, hands down. Both wanted the UFC contract more than anything and went the distance. The crowd was eating it up and I was on the edge of my seat watching too. Very good move by UFC to offer Stephen a contract as well. The rematch is money in the bank. They put that on PPV, I'm all over that one.

Wanted to get this PPV just to see the coaches go at it, missed it though, but thanks for the review! Definately a UFC fan after the show/fight

I could kick myself for not having recorded that fight on Spike TV. I had no clue it would be so good. I was watching it at home with my GF and some friends. None of the friends had even watched the UFC show on Spike, and 1 person had never even heard of the UFC (not a sports fan).

Every single person was out of thier seat at times cheering and jeering. The room was electric. Everyone was talking all at once at times about who won the round and why. It was really something to see.

That fight is exactley what the UFC wanted and needed. They purposfully took that sport in a new direction several years ago, and it came to fruition on National TV for all to see with that fight. The fighters were great guys, as well as great fighters. The UFC has now distanced itself away from the streetfighting mentality and have progressed into the professional fighting arena they were striving for.

Good god you weren't kidding about that unbelievable right that knocked Randy right the fuck out. Wow, he was gone. The replay closeup of the ground punch was massive too.

New UFC fan for life!
