Should post a screenie of that bad ass fall from that bridge in SE. I really like what Sony did with that zone, and the quests to get your prismatics is kinda neat I think.

I noticed in the upper lefthand corner it has Nagafen's name and underneath says, "Level 100 Epic (x4)"

Does EQ2 tell you what loot is on a mob before fighting it now or does that mean something else?

Epic is more of a classification. Usually I think it is no classification means a mob intended as solo content. A "heroic" mob is intended as a group encounter and an "epic" mob is intended as a multi-group encounter. The (x4) I believe indicates a 4 group mob.

After Epic (x4) comes Zerg?

That takes away from the enjoyment of strategy and trial & error. :(

Epic = Raid encounter
X2/3/4 is a recommendation for how many raid groups it should take
As for showing level, virtually every MMOGs (except EQ1) actually tell you what level mobs are.

Game mechanics make zerging impossible in EQ2.

What strategy was ever involved in guessing what level a 'red' mob was... and the max number for a raid in EQ2 is 24.

I was referring to the group suggestion. This mob is telling me "don't bother going here without a full raid" -- which i'd rather figure out on my own.

It's not a group suggestion; it's a maximum raid size before it's not going to give you any loot.

There's plenty of content that can be taken down with far less than the allowed number of groups. Trial and error your heart out.

ive taken group X's with only me and a mystic before...its all relevant, and frankly a bit overdone...an X4 (although i havnt killed one yet) is more like an X3 and X2 more like an X1....unless its a single ^^^X2, then youl prolly need at least 8

Jesus Xzion, I know what you're talking about and even that would confuse the hell outta me :lol: But then again, I'll admit, it doesn't take much :shock:

I must've killed Naggy 30-40 times during my EQ1 run. Who the fuck keeps rezzing him?
