From this you are saying that out of the entire server we have had four including me post on your forums about your server? I dont understand how this makes up weak kneed fags. The true people who might have once cared about this issue have long since stopped playing. As far as the responses being neutral, that is due to the nature of the game since the involement of flags and instances. There is almost nothing anymore to cause serious serverwide drama due to raids. I am sure that Veeshan has had its amount of drama back in the day (so sadly said here) just as all EQ servers have, Luclin included.Morgrym
Man, I don't know about the rest of you. But, I find the retorts from
Luck-Lin to be very lacking and rather neutral. The image of a server full of weak kneed faggots has been painted. With Anonymous leading the pack and handing out tampons.
No it will not. Ever since the start up of Stormhammer there has been a large influx of goods that should not have been on the server. My self included has brought over many items that I bought in the baazar on SH purely to sell on Luclin. Also, as far as unheard of amounts of plat go in EQ, I dont think that you understand that my account has well over 10 million plat. You may ask why dont I sell it, the reason behind this is I have morals against supporting Yantis (as many of you have stated in that thread about the VV and IGE) As far as having competition on Luclin, there always has been and always will be divisions between the guilds on every server. Every guild has learned to deal with this and knows how to compete with each other. While sometimes this turns nasty there are many times that when a /who is done and you see the 72 or 54 people in the selected zone, you just pick another target.Diae Soulmender
Luclin, as it is known to them, will completely and totally change once the server merge occurs. They will begin seeing flows of loots and money in to AH in unheard of amounts. On top of that Veeshan Guilds in general are accustomed to 'extreme' competition which perhaps the Luclin-ites are not use to. Veeshan guilds are also, mostly, not exactly on friendly terms and there is no 'community' on Veeshan. On Veeshans one's community is your guild and pretty much fuck everyone else in the whole world.
Circa early 2003 Luclin had their share of high end guilds that was putting some mark on the EQ world. But this is now and most if not all of those pre2003 guilds have moved on or completely changed into different guilds. As far as the 100 player zones, there were plenty of times when there were almost 300 if not more in fire or earth depending on what was going on.Winnow
It really is a shame Celestial Tomb isn't around for this. CT was built for this sort of thing. CT circa early 2003 was big, mobile, and skilled.
Even pre-2003 CT would have caused huge chaos. "Hello Luclin. This is what you call a Bind Rush!" Oh the Dorfmanity! Lucliners would be so lagged with their high graphics settings clueless to the ways of the 100 player zones, they'd go linkdead before they could even /petition.
After glancing at a recent poll on our boards, our members is closer to 90% retired with very little active players. Same with the relationships.Winnow
VeeshanVault is mostly (Id say 70-80%) made up of Retired EQ Players. Many of whom left EQ with a sour taste in the mouths, but found some personalities in game that they enjoyed. That relationship was continued out fo game by using VeeshanVault.
I completely agree, quick, easy, and cheap. Great drunk food.Drinsic Darkwood
There is abso-fucking-lutely nothing wrong with ramen noodles.
If you really want to know, I'm 18. I'm a student at MTSU in Murfreesboro, TN. My parents live in Clarksville, TN. I live about 5 minutes away from campus. That drive is absolutely impossible.
On another note, I am sorry you had to live in Clarksville, what a horrible town, not saying that M'boro is much better. I am originally from Nashville so I have some sense of know what I am talking about.
I would doubt very much since you would be lacking most flags to do anything significant other than draging selected mobs around in areas such as the elementals, if you were a bard it might be different cause you could possiblely do things in OOW/GOD but as a 65 enchanter, your havoc would be about as threatening as a case of mono. All in all, the worst you would do is slow something down.Drasta
its tempting to see if i can reactivate my account .. im sure a lvl 65 enc could reak some havoc!
As for compairing who has more heart and spirit, thats just pure bullshit, how can you compair such things? In all honesty the guild I would say that has the most heart on it on luclin is a small family guild that raids very causually and managed to get into the elementals after GoD was released. This is compairing something that can not be measured. If you said something about firsts, or tactics or otherwise then we could argue about it a bit more once I knew the facts I was going against (and would more than likely agree with you knowing the little bit I know about Veeshan) Again, belittling someone because their /played date isnt old is passe. Its a cop out to a real argument. My first character has a /played date of 1999 sometime, but I moved to Luclin once i realized I had a couple of real life friend on there.Mak
Because your server is on newer hardware, idiot, and SOE is too fucking lazy to do any more than they have to. They're just going to do a batch character move and call it a day. It's certainly not because you have achieved anything notable in EQ or are more worthy in any way.
I'm not one to grab the pom-poms and do the rah rah bullshit, but I will have you know that Veeshan guilds have more knowledge, more heart, and more balls than anything you can roll out. Your guilds and their accomplishments don't impress me or anyone else here.
What impresses me are the Veeshan players that, through a lot of hard work and sacrifice, originally discovered how to do the shit that you and your guilds are now researching how to do on the web. What impresses me are guilds and characters that started in a year that doesn't begin with a 2.
I've got nothing much against Luclin or it's player base, but please don't come here bragging about shit that you've done or how great you are- you've done nothing that we haven't already done, and you aren't any greater than any average player on Veeshan.
So you are saying that everyone who on Veeshan at any point was amazing and spectacular. Ever server has its own fnord that does its own shit first for the server, and sometimes serverwide. LoS on Luclin did Tunare back in teh SoV days with an unheard of number of people at the time.noel
Listen, son. On this board, YOU do not tell ANYONE to shut up, EVER. You might have achieved some prestigious level of pwnzorship on your shitty little server, and you might think you're the shit. I think I speak for everyone who ever played on Veeshan when I say... Been there, done that, got the T-shirt, MOVED ON. Grats you, still playing a game that the rest of us enjoyed back when there was actual challenges, and competition the likes of which you've only experienced when trying to see how fast you could get your boyfriends pants off after the Fear raid. Go back to wherever you came from, and continue to be the hawk that's the eagle among crows. We only have eagles here, and we're all laughing at you coming here and running your mouth about shit you don't have even a miniscule level of comprehension about.
If I had to guess, hundreds. Since the involvement of the casino you are able to get this item by handing a golden ticket. I was able to get this on my monk and mage. Ruining the economy of the server would be near impossible due to the SH Xfers as stated above and the massive influx of plat due to the macro'ed people.Ransure
Hrm, I wonder how many pre-nerf mask of the deciever's there are on luk-lin?... hehe, maybe I should go there just to try to clean out all of the pre-nerf stuff sitting in my bank account..
Veeshanites could single handedly wreck the Luk-lin economy just by empting our bank's...
Lastly, to everyone that made a sheep fucking joke, that had to be the most original thing ever. Its not like anyone on our own server did the same thing when that guild was first formed. While I understand that it is new material, is it something that just kind of gets old really fast. Things that also fall into the category would be insulting people with fag or gay because when you have nothing else to say. (Also check out my web page after you call me an ass sucking homo who loves to suck the cock and gives fantastic handjobs)
Anyway, my man question to everyone on this server is. Why are you all so bitter over losing the server name? If I were in your shoes I would flaunt that shit all over, change my sig to include something like Soandso the level XX CLASS (retired) of the ORIGINAL VEESHAN server. Make it like a status symbol.
