Scrying stones

Anyone had any luck with them? I've tried several in the little rainbow areas I find and they flash different colors but it always says I don't find anything. What's the deal?

Where do you get scrying stones?
I didn't know that was what those glowy/sunlight areas were for.

They're ... expensive for what they are. You can get the from the ratonga on the docks in Thundering Steppes for one.
I've run through maybe 40 stones (at 10s each) and got one decent ring in TS:
Ruined Ancient Ring

So you just equip the stone and "use" it when you find the glowy place?

Don't equip, just have in inventory and examine while in glowy place.
