Arrested Development Cancelled!!!!!!? Dammit

Post by Tyek »

Fox has halted production on the show after 18 episodes this season. They have not officially cancelled the show, but few ever come back from the dreaded hiatus word.

The show was the best on TV. The writing was great. HBO or Showtime should step up and take this show over. It would be a great addition to either channels lineup.

I'm 40 now, I don't think that anymore, because I found out it doesn't f--king work. One has to go through that. I thought the show was kind of stupid personally. It was just too bizarre for my tastes.

I do not watch Deadwood...just haven't been able to get into it at all. My wife loves the show however. She used to complain that there was too much cursing/swearing on The Sopranos...but she never said the same about Deadwood.

Listening to Deadwood while I am doing something else...it seems that cursing is taken to an art form...

I have to agree. I watched it once or twice, didn't find it funny at all.

Deadwood is the best series on TV.

Swearengen is the best "bad guy" in television.

Desparate Housewives? Reality TV? That shit all blows compared to Deadwood. Great acting, great dialog (including the swear words), and great HD camerawork.

I like Battlestar Gallactica but it doesn't hold a candle to Deadwood.

If westerns aren't your thing then it may not appeal but it's not for lack of story and the overall quality of the show.

I had to watch about 4-5 episodes of Arrested Development before it finally hit me. One of the best shows on tv in the past decade. A shamme if its cancelled.

Yeah, if you did not see the previous episodes and jumped into one late in the season, it might be hard to follow.

There is so much going on that it is hard to keep up if you do not know the storyline. Try renting the DVD set. I promise it is worth it. I think they are running 2 episodes on March 6th, so that may be a good primer.

It is very politically incorrect. I admit.

I dislike Deadwood just because of Swearengen! Actually, it's just because of his name. I had recently tried to find a site that had some info on my late grandfather which I had found a while back, but when I searched, all I got were sites with information about Deadwood.

Sorry, Arrested Development is one of the crappiest shows I've ever seen. You might get 1 total laugh out of a few episodes. It's either an "I love it" or "I hate it" show, and I've seen a lot more negative reviews than positive.

Fox dropping Family Guy was a mistake. This however, is not.

Gotta say it didnt do much for me either. Just didnt find the style and content funny really. Mind you, Family Guy leaves me cold too, some of the ideas are potentially funny, but the execution just doesnt deliver. Maybe I'm just out of touch with the fringe elements. :P

Arrested Development was a clever and original show, I enjoyed it. David Cross killed me. It's a shame the masses will not let this stand.

Deadwood, good stuff.

So they halt production of Arrested Development, but they leave the Simpsons running? Fox needs to sell the rights to 24 and Malcom in the Middle to another station and just shut down.
