Wouldn't this poll kind of fall in the "duh" category? I think it is pretty obvious that the majority of people are going to want a lasting relationship.

Ive been in a few long term relationships... almost got engaged last time... For where I am in my life right now... All Im looking for is some short term companionship... and that has worked out pretty well for me Maybe sometime in the next few years Ill meet that "right" one again... but for now... Im happy where Im at.

I checked the "sex is better in a relationship". However I'd only say that's true if you really care about the person. I've been in relationships where I'm just in it for the sex and to me that's as good as a one nighter. However it was when I was in a relationship with a person that I really cared about that gave me a whole new outlook on sex. The idea of sex from just getting yours to recieving the satisfaction that another gets is so much more intense when you connect with the person.

Safety. There's a lot of shit out there that I'd prefer not going home with. The gifts the keep on giving can give elsewhere thanks. Also take into account that women (mostly) are more likely to experiement more with someone they're comfortable with and trust; not a one night stand.

I voted the long term relationship one. My last gf and I were together 4 months before we actually went ahead and did it. There was plenty of foolin around and petting but that was about it. I married her in 2003 and we've been together 10 years now.

Pre-marital sex is the way to go imo however. Life to short to have a lousy sex life post-marriage just because you decided to go the abstinance route before your marriage.

Could have been together for years and then married in 2003 making 10 years total together...

10 years back = 1995... had sex 4 months after meeting... married in 2003..

When I was younger and in the military hooking up was the best thing ever. Granted there were a lot of repeat performances or those that lasted a week or so until I told them they had to leave. I had a great time during that time in my life.

Now I am older and married and I am happy with the way my life is now. The thrill of exploring a new body isn't there anymore but fact you are with someone who knows what you like and you know what she likes makes up for that.



(So after that 5 minutes is over it is down to my computer to be with the one who knows me best, my hand. )

There should be a 'both' category. In between relationships I do enjoy hooking up. After a long ass relationship, casual sex is a very welcome change until you find someone you care about.
