College Football Weekend!Upset weekend #2

Post by Raistin »

What major teams will lose? Who will win? Who will pull the major upset?!

My guesses for upsets!

1 Miami at Tennessee. Miami loses by 12

2 Oklahoma at Texas A&M. Texas A&M comes up with a huge upset. Miss Cleo has told me so.

7 Va Tech vs Syracuse. Syracuse comes up and shows how bad Va Tech really is.Winners by 3, if not Va Tech by 30*

8 Georgia vs. Ole Miss. Georgia loses by 20

18 Florida State vs Ga Tech. Ga Tech by 12

16 Bowling Green vs Northern Illinois. N. Ill by 6. Bowling Green's 117 schedule strength catches up to them.

Leaves us with 1 Undefeated after this weekend. Ohio State.

My call for top 10 on monday.
1 ) Ohio State
2 ) Texas
3 ) Wash St
4 ) Iowa
6 ) Miami
7 ) Oklahoma
8 ) N Dame * Since Navy was up to bat.*
9 ) Michigan
10 ) Kansas

Close calls for this weekend.

12 Kansas State at 22 Iowa State * I almost see Kansas State Losing*

13 N.C. State vs 25 Maryland * Same here. Close game,NC shows how weak they are in this game and perhaps loses*

Oh yea and of course Penn State will jump 8 slots and be 11th!

sure Rutgers is awful. And Miami played poorly and only beat them by 25.

but interesting that you bring them up. Let's compare common opponents Rutgers and Florida. Tennessee only managed to beat Rutgers by 17.

Tennessee lost 30-13 against Florida at home.
UT beat rutgers 30-13

Miami beat Rutgers 42-17
Miami beat UF 41-16

substantially better with both results i'd say.

Ohio State is good, but not good enough to warrant a #1 rating. If they played Miami or Oklahoma, they would get ripped a brand new asshole. Just not enough talent to keep up with either of those 2 teams.

Common opponents don't mean crap. Evidence Texas A&M:

They beat Pitt at Pitt, then lost to Va. Tech at Home. Va Tech then loses to Pitt at Va. Tech.

No way A&M beats OU, as much as I wouldn't mind seeing it, being a Texas fan. I really don't see this weekend being a weekend of upsets. Looks like a weekend of woodshed match ups if you ask me. A&M should get drilled by OU, Miami should work over TU and OSU beats the crap out of Purdue.

OSU beat Purdue..barely.

TA&M is holding its own against OU and might pull off the upset..if they do..kiss OU goodbye.

Miami is hurting Tennessee pretty bad right now but who knows. Its only halftime.

Top 5 BCS for Monday
1.) Miami (If they beat Tennessee)
2.) OSU (Pulled off the win against Purdue)
3.) Texas (Since they shut out Baylor)
4.) OU (Losing to TA&M hopefully)
5.) Iowa (since they crushed Northwestern)

Only 2 undefeated teams now so MOST LIKELY it will be..

1.) Miami
2.) OSU

The number 3 spot is up in the air depending on how mean the BCS wants to be to OU for losing. Texas (4) gave a pretty bad beating to Baylor but with Baylor being considered a weak team, it might not help them much. Who knows.

Iowa (6) should most likely move up to the No. 5 spot since Washington St. (5) lost to Oregon (15).

Either way..Top 5 looks like this to me..

1.) Miami
2.) OSU
3.) Texas
4.) OU
5.) Iowa

Wow oh wow.

Tenn sucked worse than I really thought they were. UM came out fighting like they were champs.

Ok? What can I say. Ok down, yes thoese Aggies got them. Fluke? Or a normal ass beatting they deserved?

Va Tech vs Syracuse. Its over time right now. I'm holding my breath.

FSU wins by 8. Close game but Ga Techs QB gave it to them all the way. What a sorry ass.

Bowling Green down. Yep stomped.

NC lost like chumps they were.

Ohio played like they were UM. They need to shape up or ship out.

Other than that, all I can say is I told you so about Ok. Hahahaha WERE NUMBER 1 MA !!!

Wait! Syracuse in tripple over time over Va Tech! It's safe to say it was a upset weekend. If not everything I picked, it cleared up the National Championship.

OU's loss wasnt a fluke by anymeans, they got outplayed, that was easy to see. Gotta have faith in the trusty BCS computers and hope something good comes from the bad is how I'm looking at it! All in all though, nothing spectacular this weekend. Tenn. sucks ass, that was proven. Virginia Tech, they slipped up a lil as well. Bowling Green, dont know what to say about them. NC State choked on a 15 inch cock in the 4th quarter.

I have faith that the Buckeyes will cough up at least one hairball in time to fuck the BCS.

I'm gonna laugh my ass off when Ohio St. chokes on Michigan, and Miami has to play Texas in Tempe.

I would think that, if OSU loses before the seasons end, Oklahoma would make the Fiesta Bowl over Texas.

Something you guys underestimated about Texas A&M.

First we had lost most of our chances at getting a bowl.
Second we were pissed.
Third we were at home.

You basically had a bunch of pissed off guys who had nothing to lose.

That makes for great motivation.

I tell ya that game was 3 hours of raw intensity. Best 15 bucks I ever spent!

Well the AP Poll came out today..

1.) Miami
2.) OSU
3.) Washington St.
Tied for 4th. ) OU/Texas
6.) Iowa

No number 5th spot due to the tie but I was surprised about the Washington St. move up.

Looking into next weekend..

Unless God hates Miami next Saturday, they'll stay No. 1 with an obvious win, though you never know. Personally, I'm hoping Dorsey, Winslow, and that McHagee-however you spell it-dude get hit with something large and can't play, therefore having the rest of the team choke hardcore and lose.

OSU "should" win against Illinois but again, stranger things have happened. OSU's real challenge will be with Michigan but unless Michigan has some tricks up they're sleeves, I doubt they will win again OSU.

OU will most likely be one of two things next week. One, so shaken up by losing that they can't regain they're balls back and choke the rest of the season by losing again..or two, they come into Saturday so pissed off that they beat the living hell out of however they are playing.

Texas...don't really care. If they win, they win. If they lose, all the better.

Washington St...same thing as Texas.

Iowa..its a shame they don't get to play OSU and will most likely end up in the Rose Bowl if OSU can hold out and go Fiesta..oh well.

OU plays Baylor Saturday. OU could play all 2nd teamers and still beat Baylor.
Texas...don't really care. If they win, they win. If they lose, all the better.
Texas plays at Texas Tech next week who has one of the worst defenses in the Big 12, but strange things happen in Lubbock. A&M hasn't had much fun playing the Techsters in the last 5 years either at home or away.

What I wish would happen next week is that OSU tanks it and loses to Illinois, who have been playing better with a lot of injured guys returning. Miami doesn't play until two weeks from now, so we'll have to wait for that game against Pitt to shake out.

which goes to show that the BCS system still hinges on the flaws of the system before it. it draws too heavily on the polls which are of course solely "What have you done for me lately".

all games should be equal. for instance UF is playing the best in the SEC right now. So fucking what, they lost a couple games early in the year, so they don't get to go to the SEC championship to play for an automatic slot in a BCS bowl. If conference games that dictate automatic BCS bowl access count equally across the spread of the season then all game should.

bottom line. polls are bullshit. bcs is bullshit.

texas should not be ranked higher than Oklahoma until Texas beats Oklahoma, which hasnt happened in awhile best i can tell.

fuck the BCS.

how sick would an 8 team College Football playoff be?

it would be bigger than the superbowl i think.

It would pwn. One way of getting the playoff bandwagon rolling would be to have around 5-6 one loss teams finish the season. Sure it would suck for the fans and schools that didn't get selected, but it would surely screw up the BCS.

OSU will destroy Illinois this weekend.
Also there is no chance in hell tressel will let them be down for the Michigan game. Way too much on the line.
Big Ten title
The fact it's Michigan
National Title Berth

The offense has struggled but when you have a defense that hasn't allowed a second half touchdown in like ~7 games this year they help the offense out.

People are saying OSU tripped up at Purdue, but folks don't realize they are better than their record shows. Their 6 losses this year are by a combined 26 points.

I'm just very happy, Penn St isnt 2-5 as compared to the few last years. Its about time they started winning again.
