Title: Senior Systems Designer

As requested, this document will contain a proposed job description for me for 2005. The description will be somewhat vague but will list general duties as well as a list of events that I feel we should participate in during the 2005 calendar year.

Reports To: Regional Sales Managers, Company President

Required Equipment: Laptop, Nextel Phone (on company accounts)

The major goal in creating this new position should be to increase our effectiveness in growing the custom install business as well as mentoring employees with the over sight of professional presentations and proposal creation.

This should include working with store managers to help develop partnered business at the store/custom level. Works with new HIA certified salespeople to ensure proposals are up to Myer-Emco standards and we are maximizing the opportunity of each custom deal. Works to develop builder/contractor business through existing contacts and cold calls

In addition to this a well-organized plan for event-specific marketing will allow us to better track our effectiveness at the events that we attend. This can be done through surveys, give-a-ways, direct mail promotions, rebate offers and in-store specials.

As we try to reach out to a new customer, we need to become more involved in builder event-specific marketing. We should broaden our event list to include vendor spaces at events in the new Bowie market and potential growth markets such as Sterling and Clarendon. There are several key events that we should consider attending in 2005 as part of this focus. I would be the primary contact and an essential part of coordination, floor plans and working with corporate for the necessary marketing and promotional materials.
