Ok here is how you help.

1. Go to computer
2. Sit down and stare at screen blankly for 5 minutes.
3. Stand up.
4. Bitch slap friend for buying an Apple product.
5. Enjoy the rest of your day.

Any questions?

That is exactly what I would have suggested. Although I think you forgot the step where you put it in the box and set it on the front curb.

I believe you click on Entourage and then Import/Export and you can export it to different file formats. Either that or try to find an import from another program in Safari Mail.

BTW - I've had a change to work with OS X on a Dual 2.5Ghz G5 recently and that thing is light years ahead of it's predecessors. I still believe that Windows kicks it's ass but Apple is definatly moving in the right direction.

Entourage's Exchange implementation however sucks balls in a major way. Essentially syncs with the exchange mailbox through Exchange's webmail(webdav) interface. And it won't let you install Outlook 2001 on OS X =/

I bet you can blame that more on Microsuck's closed standards than Entourage...

Actually Entourage is Microsoft software. It's was replaces Outlook in Office 2004 for Mac.

Importing her data from entourage into Safari corrupted all the files. She is going to have to pay a considerable amount of money to retrieve the data. :(

Youch. Why did she want to change her mail client anyhow? Does Safari offer features that Entourage doesn't? From what I've seen of Entourage, other than my beef with exchange connectivity, it seems to be a pretty solid mail client.

Safari is a web browser. Maybe that was your problem. The e-mail application on OS X is called Mail.

Hey thanks for the insight I will remember that next time I check my email using Safari. You know kinda like checking email using Internet Explorer or Netscape.

Cheers

He's right... the only email you'll be checking with Safari or IE is webmail.
