Why I'm against the "D" player in Fantasy Football

I drafted my D player based on the stats available on Yahoo, mostly tackles and sacks. I ended up cutting one of the most consistent tacklers in the league, despite the fact he was having a decent year because RETURN YARDS are more important for point generation than actual DEFENSIVE stats.
My D player is Rossum of the Falcons. He has generated like 20 defensive points this season, but consistently gets me double digit production because he returns kicks and punts.
I do not like the idea of having to draft a fucking return man. Commissioner Bubba, fellow VV leaguers, what are your opinions on this?

I'd have to search the old posts, but I've been anti D player from the start. It doesn't enhance anything and introduces more randomness to the outcomes.

Fuggin Sapp being retarded this season isn't helping my "D" position.
Anti-D all the way
PS> Though I have no room to bitch since I'm in last

Well, even if we were all against it, it is too late now. We are just a few weeks out of the Playoffs. We all had the same chance to pick a defensive player. I personally am for the D player as I think it enhances the game and increases the need for strategy. We only have to pick a single defensive player out of a slew of choices. I will concede the fact that the scoring for return yards is off. That is my fault. If your team can't win due to a single player then maybe you got bad picks or something. We had over a month to prepare our strategy for picks before the season started. As I said though, it is too late to change it now.

There's always next year...
(As a Red Sox fan I've been used to saying this... but next year happened. What to fuckin do?)

I'm casting an early vote against single D players for next year. I have a few lawyers waiting in the wings if the vote doesn't go my way and have been instructed to stir up trouble even if there is none before the official vote takes place.
