Lamaz

My wife and I had our first Lamaz session last night. It wasn't as horrible as I thought it would be. We did the breathing and the massaging and relaxation stuff. When the instructor started doing this thing about thinking you are in a golden boat floating on a calm lake in the warm sun, all I could think about is if I brought the right tackle and pole and if I didn't bring any sun screen my wife would be pissed. So that didn't relax me all that much.
Anyone have any stories to share about this kind of stuff? It's a slow day and we haven't had too many "Happy" topics here in a while.

Thanks much.

We are very excited about it. Last night the baby was kicking up a storm. The most amazing feeling. I recommend it to anyone. (touch your own mates please)
I am sure that many of people were dreading this day. The day when I would add to the gene pool.

Grats Man,
I went to classes with the wife around 7 months pregnant. So when we arrived to the class room I opened the door and looked around the room which was full of expectant mothers. In a loud voice I said OMG hon we came to the wrong place this must be a Jenny Craig meeting. The guys all laughed and the moms were busy hitting them. Was kinda funny.
The classes help OMGIAMRETARDEDCAUSEALOTISTWOWORDS Bubba enjoy the moments as they are very special.
Cheers

Congratulations. I have no children or intentions of starting a family at this time in my life, but I enjoy seeing my friends go through the happiness of pregnancy and such.
Then I see the unhappiness of children and it cements my reasoning of not having children.
Good luck!

Grats on Bubba Jr. I have 4 children myself. Spend lots of time with your children so that they don't turn out like Searyx or, even worse, Kyo. Attention depraved, err, deprived

My husband and I just finished up our child birthing classes since this is our first I have no clue what is going to happen. I'm due on December 6th and thanks to those classes I'm scared silly. The breathing techniques felt great but they showed us videos of what could go wrong during birth...Hope your wife's classes are better than mine were.
P.S. The kicking thing is great for the husbands to feel but not so nice for the mothers at 4 in the morning while in the middle of a dead sleep

heh agreed Ax, those classes scared me shitless too, then when it was actually time for it all to happen I realised it was in fact way worse than I did imagine
On a serious note though, course it hurts like hell but damn that is one special day, wouldn't be without it for anything =)

STFU and get the
epidural !!!!

Men think it is so easy...

Gotta realize Cid that a woman can't get an epidural until she is 3 inches diolated during child birth. Getting to 3 centimeters can take anywhere from 1 hour to 10 hours..So till then your shit out of luck unless you have a high pain tolerance.
