I spent my cache of McDonalds Bucks to pay for Overnight shipping and placed a pre-order from Best Buy.

I will not be playing WoW or EQ2. I think after EQ1 has worn away the knub of what brains I have left I will adjust my life and attempt to set the worlds record for masterbation.

I enjoyed EQII, I really did. But we'll see if I find I want to devote myself again to any online game... Maybe if I get overly bored in the months its around.

I will be picking it up either Tuesday morning hopefully....and since I am off Tuesday I will be playing. Have it pre-ordered at EB Games. If they have the servers labeled as east or west coast, I will most likely be going to an east coast server. Will post it here if anyone wishes to add to that server or if you want to avoid playing on a server I am on.

They are going to have more than one server pool this time? Nice -- East Cost for me too if they do.

I've got the extra special tin box of goodies on reserve.

The beta was interesting for me. Graphically, its a very beautiful game. Mechanics wise it doesn't feel finished, espically with the changes to Heroic Opportunites and such they've done recently.

Still, EQLive is fun to play still. WoW never held my interest. City of Heroes doesn't have the depth of an EQ or WoW, but its good fun so it will probably be my backup/burn out/etc game.

Why preorder when:

1) Game is clearly not polished/finished

2) The opening is going to be just as smooth as all other SoE games.

To get the free JBoots, silly.

My copy is incoming. So is the new PC to play it on.

The game I played was fairly polished, their patches were fixing a ton of things and were coming out almost every other day.

Not here. Gave them enough money. in the end hated eq1 (GoD sucked and killed the enjoyment).

Going to WoW.

Still don't see how some of you find eq2 amusing though, it was tremendously bland when I played it. It was amazing... for the first 2 days. Then it just got boring and repetitive. It's just eq1 with fancy graphics, which over time will kill your eyes :)

Over 5 years, the original EQ cost a continuous subscriber and expansion buyer about $1,000.00. Not bad!

Budget 200.00/year for a single online subscription game.

My motto is:

Fool me once, shame on you.
Fool me twice....
I won't get fooled again.

Never again will I pay money for a sony game that requires their constant upkeep and customer support. I am not an EQ2 hater or WoW fanboi, but I am not spending 40+ hours a week treadmilling intentionally bugged games when I can play WoW casually and still keep up and enjoy myself.

Good luck to those of you who are sticking with SOE, though.

Polished = true class spells were just added ~ 2 weeks ago?

How is that polished? We all know what a wonderful job SoE does of balancing things.
