god damn Sylvos!

And so I don't get the VV Police telling me to PM, I will inject an issue for discussion into a topic (god damn sylvos) which really shouldn't need anything else.
Is it mean to tell someone they should be extra nice to you over a weekend without explaining why such behavior is necessary (But hinting that it would be in their best interests?)

Depends on who you ask I think. If it's really really close friends, then I don't suppose it's too bad. But just some people you hang out with, then I think it's kind of selfish to expect that kind of treatment without asking. I don't want to seem sexist, but if you are a girl, then the situation is more in your favor than if you were a guy.
See, I can use than/then correctly. Yay me.

The issue isn't so much ask vs. tell - its whether or not it's mean to refuse to tell them why, hinting only that it might be in their best interests to do so.
Ok for clarification - assume a close couple-type relationship.
