Has anyone purchased any of these and had a personally good or bad experience?
I read some reviews online and they are getting good enough reviews. Their price is right! That's for sure!

I have an NEC 2510A. It is a perfect dual layer burner.
The reason I bought it? It was either that or the Mad Dog for the same price, and all the dvd burning boards I could find said avoid Mad Dog like the Plague...that really nasty plague....

Accoding to their website they only ship to the United States and for some reason Puerto Rico.
The burner is 129 canadian.
I'll let you know if I get the plague.

Maybe it's because Puerto Rico is an American territory. I don't see why they haven't started shipping to Canada though. Shouldn't be that much more unless they just want to avoid some kind of taxes/tariffs/etc..

Its more of a customs thing I think. I know that we go through a lot of bullshit when shipping to the US.

Dups $129 CDN is pretty expensive for that burner, considering you can get dual layer ones for about $90 off of Tigerdirect.ca and other sites that are based in Canada that are name brand.

I was checking tigerdirect's latest catalogue and could not find a cheaper Dual Layer burner. My work is about 5 minutes from the store. I checked it out and could not see a better deal in that store. Unless I'm blind...

Try NCIX. Tiger Direct prices I saw were probably some discounts from last week.
Not sure what shipping is at NCIX.

I bought one from Officemax or somewhere I forget they had a deal going for the 4x DVD burner for free after instant and mail-in rebate..it came to like $17 with shipping and tax.
It's worked fine for the last month but I have to admit the first one they sent had a defect...seems the drive tray would not open and close...fairly large defect lol.
Still for $17 and a 4 mile drive to exchange it for a different drive it works fine now...it's my utility machine, not my game machine so quality while important is not needed to be top of the line either....
