I believe that this is scientific proof that retarded fanbois can infect hardware with retardedness and crash a site.

[Disclaimer: All of what follows is idle speculcation.]
I have noticed that the FoH boards have had some trouble from time to time with the server on which they reside. It is possible that the recent database issues with that site have reached a serious level. It is possible that there was substantial corruption of the forum database. It is possible that no one has had the free time or the inclination to address the errors quickly. It is equally possible that someone has started work, or intends to start work, on a new site design and can't be bothered to fix the old one.
If I owned that site and decided that I wanted to reduce its traffic, I wouldn't bother fixing the forums for some time because the longer it stays down the less likely it is that many people return to the site once it is restored unless they have specific business there (i.e. guild members and their friends). This would be a good way to restore the site to its original intent to serve as a message board for the FoH guild and their friends.
Ok, I have enjoyed putting my Sherlocke Holmes hat on; now I am spent.

My theory is that Furor is too busy assraping Tigole in the men's room at Blizzard to yell at someone to fix the site.

There was a problem with the HD the database for the forums was being hosted on getting filled up.. and since its pretty much free hosting we're not a high priority. They're aware of the problem.

Archive the old shit. Problem solved.

CT had a better webmaster than FoH by a mile.

Thank you Kylere
My website never went down, neither the server nor the host.
Though, there was this one time some guy hacked it. Was funny as shit, he was posting and talking to us, he even added himself to the roster. Took us a while to notice, you know with having like 1000 members, kinda hard to miss someone who sneaked in...

You know it Valryte, I have been in many an IS firm, and many other firms that had IS departments and decent websites are rare even when people dump a million a year counting salaries in them. The CT website ran smooth, and efficient, meet our needs, loaded in decent times, worked consistantly. Hell if I ever work a place that has decent pay rates again looking for a web admin, I will be dragging you there

LOL, thanks Kylere. Problem is websites are not what I do. I just happen to be able to do them because of my experience as a programmer. I doubt they'd pay my salary for a website developer

If they need someone with high volume transaction processing, fully scalable and redundant system design and development experience, then look me up

uh huh, the ct messageboards also didn't have anywhere near the amount of traffic, and as I recall, were ezboard, which was not hosted by you. You'll notice our frontpage still works. I don't know whats going on with our boards anymore now.

Um, sorry you are mistaken. The CT website went to ezboard only after CT broke up. I wanted my server back. The CT website was custom built, even the forums. You know what, as long as the private board/sections for FoH is still working, then fuck what anyone says. A guild site is supposed to be a tool for the guild, but if that is also broke, then that's something else. If you guys need help, you know where to find me. I'm sure we can work something out

The problem with Fohguild.org is that the amount of traffic it has combined with the fact that it is a free-hosting from a provider, makes it difficult to get our web issues worked on pronto. That said, we are looking for a new host and probably a new format. Have no fear...The Pretty Girl Thread will still be around...

The CT board really came around when the font color was changed from white to light blue. So much easier on the eyes!

The ignore Winnow officer filter was it's downfall!
The Sovereign board had the same issues and I was labled a troublemaker for suggesting blue text!
At least Val could take suggestions without feeling like it was a personal assault!
BTW, the default Veeshan Vault color scheme is excellent for testing the calibration of your monitor. If it's too washed out, you won't see the color difference when you mouseover the thread fields or the white quote box won't be defined from the rest of the message.
Adjust your monitors!
