Who the hell is going to spend $350 on pp?The exchange rate of game money to real money is not very good, 100,000 platinum pieces sells for about $350

i think it was a smithing combine.
had to have one of those macro-do-jiggy gamepads set up i believe.

I know of one fletching macro that only made plat at certain fletchers and read something about a smithing combine/sale that netted a nice little chunk of plat.
Using the macro to automate the purchase of fletching materials, the combines, and the sale of the arrows, every 1-3 minutes a player would sell stacks of arrows with a profit of like 6 plat per stack. That is until it was nerfed.
