Call first....

Both Wal-Mart's by me dont have it.
Both EB dont have it.
Both Soft Etc dont have it.
all 5 Best Buy dont have it.

All of them say they will have it tomorrow though.

F'ing VI sucks. Don't patch that damn game and not have the software available.

If you actually have a boxed copy of PoP purchased in a store please post:

1. name of store
2. city and state.

could possibly give some people some useful info on distribution flow.

however, if it is all being FedEx'd straight from San Diego to the retail outlets, then not really any real trend.

I got mine at Wal-Mart in Sanford, Florida. Several guild people also got them at Wal-Mart so yeah, I'd call first.. but it's probably your best chance at getting one today.

WalMart doesn't (generally) maintain stock in-store. Saves them a lot of money, and explains why when the boxes came in, they went on the shelf.

another thing to consider is just because the people on the phone say it isnt there (in wal mart) doesnt mean shit.

hehe

I wouldn't be in such a big frenzy to get the game today anyhow. It is going to take Verant at least a week if not more to get it working right.

Yeah, but the electronics people usually know what they do or don't have in... since it's a fairly self-contained department.

I just wanted to get mine today cause I have class tomorrow till 6 and didn't want to go out looking for it then during rushour traffic. ><

which is exactly why you want to get it on day 1, if you remember things like GER, Lockets of Escape, NoS, Yelinak swords dropping from yard trash, etc.

this won't have the complications of SoL because there is not the massive video changes.

this is mostly just content addition.

...so I walk into On-Cue in shit hole Watertown, South Dakota to see if they have PoP. (they had Luclin a day early)...

I walk up to the software...

Some skinny little crack-whore lookin' chick walks up all peppy and cheery like she just slammed a 30-pack of Code Red and a box of Freezee Pops... She says "Can I help you Sir"? I see the "manager" name tag and think she may have a clue so I asked for Planes of Power...

She says "What is that"? I tell her that it is the latest attempt at another bugged and defective EverQuest expansion...

She says "OH YES SIR"! "WE HAVE THAT"! she sprints down the isle and points (reminded me of my old huntin' dog named Ruphus) and she stands there and points.... panting actually which made me start thinkin about my old dog again...

She waits for me to catch up to her and she reaches out with lighning fast reflexes and a suddeness that would make any Monk turn green with envy..

She hands me Shithole of Luclin... "HERE IT IS SIR"! It's BRAND NEW! I just took it out of the BOX YESTERDAY!"

I said "Excuse me a moment Tiffany, how long have you been store manager"?

She looks at me like I'm fuckin retarded and says "What makes you think my name is Tiffany"? I said well, I can read...

she looks down at her chest and says "OF Fuck! I put on the wrong smock again"! My name is ummm Jill.

... I saw no need for further interrogation... I left empty handed.

I went there after work (around 6pm) and they had nothing on the shelves. I went across the street to EB World, and they didn't have it. Went down the road to Best Buy near Maggie Moos (/drool), and they didn't have it either.

Hrm, I picked up two copies around 3pm and they had about 20 left on the shelves.... uh, where is there an EBworld across the street from there? I know where the BB is.... reguardless you should have it by today.....

BTW, never call stores about stuff like this.... you think anyone that works at wal mart can even spell computer?

Ransure... I got my copy yesterday at BB for the bargain price of $25 + tax. The EB near Wal-Mart is across Manchester Lakes Blvd right next door to a Radio Shack. If you're passing the Toys R Us and the Lazy Boy store on right, it's on the left side before the Pizzaria Uno's. Welcome to Yuppie Hell!

As of today in SW Michigan Best Buy doesn't even have them in even though they say they are sold out and Walmart who said they weren't getting them in had 3 copies when I got there. Lady said some guy came in and tried to buy the whole box  Had no idea anyone in this area even played lol.

Not posting my towns name because well... it's so small you would never of heard of it, don't think it's even on the map.
