Things to do in Denver...

Going to be in Denver around the second week of October for business. I'll have a little time in the evenings, and I'm curious if there's anything that's a must see/visit or any restaurants that are not to be missed.

Thanks in advance!

I was in Denver a few years ago for Networkers and the appreciation party was thrown at a large skate/bike park about 45 minutes from downtown. Can't remember the name or even vaguely any directions but they put on a pretty good show with some of the attractions they brought in. Not sure if that was a normal activity for that place or not.

Downtown sucks. They pull the sidewalks in at 6pm.

Well Downtown doesn't suck anymore since they put in Coors Field they cleaned up the place and its actually safe to walk around at night. Bars are expensive at least for me.

Most sights are not in Denver but all around. And in October it may be snowing one day and 80 the next so pack accordingly.

The Denver area, downtown has cleaned up quite a bit.. But some areas are still quite dangerous. There are a few bars around coors feild that you can bar hop to if you are into that.

Other then that, most I could say is take a drive at night up into the mountains. One thing i'd suggest is going to the flagstaff house, it's in boulder.. bout, eehmmm 20 30ish mins to get there, and then you overlook most of denver, longmont, niwot, and OMGIAMRETARDEDCAUSEALOTISTWOWORDS of other places, and that is pretty cool.

I don't know much about Denver other than Boulder > Denver. A real nice area.

(Not sure that helps you any though!)

I am with Aslanna. Hit up Pearl Street in Boulder. Worth the drive. Go on Saturday if you are staying the weekend.

I used to live in CO and most cool things to do are not in Denver. But, 16th street is alright. I spent most of my time in Boulder, Ft. Collins, Estes Park, and Rocky Mountain National Park. All good fun.

Boulder is a bunch of damn hippies. If you don't mind them I guess boulder is your town.

Used to live in Golden, er, well unincorperated Jefferson County.

They have a huge theatre arts center if the play is your thing man. Also quite a few clubs. A few years ago Paradise Island club was a good place to find yourself, but who knows now. For resturants, if you like Chinese I would recommend the Imperial. A little pricey but damn, best Chinese food ever.

Ditto what Ramseis said. No joke on the weather changing every ten minutes or so on an average day. Be prepared!

Other than that, there are a few other club scenes that you can hit or if you are into a good drive northish from Denver, you can see Boulder.

Oh yeah, if you dig concerts, Red Rocks Amplitheatre. Best acustics (sp?) I have ever been graced with.

Have fun man!
