It's getting closer, can you feel it? Draft Day will be here sooner than you think. Remember not to make other plans for that day.

I was considering adding a single Defensive Player to the team lineup. What do you think? Wouldn't it be cool to get points for a player who is on your opponants defense to help ease the pain? Think of the players you get to choose from like Ray Lewis or Michael Strahan or hell maybe even Deion Sanders. Give it some thought. I will add the position at the end of the month unless people object loudly to it.

We have a full league of 12 teams right now. Players haven't been picked yet. The live draft is beginning of September.

Does this league not draft a team defense/special teams package? Would the individual defensive player replace this?

No it doesn't replace the Defense that you already have picked. I am not sure if you get double points if your defensive back is on the same team as your defense and gets an INT, 2 for the team and 2 for the player. This just throws some light on individual efforts by the defensive players. I just wish they could stat deflected passes and stuff like that.

I've got to remember this. Nothing worse than missing a Fantasy Football draft and getting Ricky Williams and Anquan Bolden.

They do stat deflected passes. It is listed as passes defensed.

If we're drafting an entire defense, I'd say skip the defensive player.

I would but I don't know who everyone is. I suppose I could just get all the emails off the coach list and send out an email. Though if anyone works their yahoo email like me they won't see it for weeks.

I almost had myself convinced that the draft was on Sunday. Damn glad I checked that again.
