Giving up two future first round picks for Dampier?

Ouch.

Damp, while a decent center can't run with the rest of the team and they are not post-up orientated, probably one of the worst places he could have ended up

Just because they have the most talent top to bottom don't mean they will win squat :) Look at our Olympics team. Look at the Mavs of last year, who were stacked with stars. They got nowhere, and fast.

I don't understand how Dampier affects the balance in the West at all. The Dallas Mavericks are still a 5th seed in the Western Conference playoffs at best.

The Spurs or the Wolves are the only teams coming out of the West next year.

SOme quality players can be had at that range ;) Latrell Sprewell, among others, was taken at 26th or something. It's not likely though, I guess :)
