Not a bad idea really, and I would not complain about another game in the College football season:

League to offer up seven rules proposals to NCAA, commissioner says
KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Big 12 Commissioner Kevin Weiberg said Tuesday the league will sponsor NCAA legislation proposing that a 12th regular-season football game be permanently added to the schedule.
If passed, the legislation could be enacted by the 2005 season. Currently, seasons with 12 regular-season games instead of 11 appear only intermittently.
Weiberg said the "timing might not be right" for the legislation, one of seven proposals the Big 12 will submit, to pass because of "some uncertainty of where we're headed with our postseason structure." But Weiberg, who recently began a two-year stint as coordinator of the Bowl Championship Series, said a playoff for Division I-A football is not imminent.
"It's pretty clear we're not headed toward a model for expanded games," he said.
Weiberg said if the proposal appears doomed for rejection, the league might withdraw it. But he added that he felt it's important to at least discuss the possibility, and that the idea has had support from various entities, especially athletic directors.
