Hi guys. This is the card I have:
GeForce 4 Ti4600 512 ram
This is whta my new system has:
128MB PCI Express x16 ATI Radeon X300 SE
I am very, very unfamiliar with the Radeon. How is it comparable to the GeForce 4, better, worse, which? If necessary, I can swap cards (I think). It's comming in with a very, very sweet deal.. advantages of having family that's on first name basis with the Dell VP of sales, har.

I barely know graphics cards at all - this is what I was able to get.. pretty much my only option on this particular PC layout.
My biggest question - will it be able to play Doom 3, HL2, EQ2, ect? the order has been made but won't be processed until Monday morning.

X300 SE is the absolute bottom end PCI Express card from ATI.

On that MB you probobly dont have a AGP slot, so your Nvidia card will be useless... find out how much it will cost to upgrade to the X800.

Or get the PCI Express version of the FX6800 Ultra, it's a little faster on most games than the ATI but significantly faster on Doom3.

You should wait before you make a purchase honestly... new chipsets will be coming out soon and older cards (hopefully) will fall in price.
