This seems to be the best option for HDTV capture/display on your computer... here's a review on the new card...
Im a little dissappointed that there is no way to input a HDTV signal from a cable box... does anyone know how I would accomplish this? I have like 30 HD channels but would like to have the PVR capabilities as well as display through my computer...
And I didnt read anywhere on there if that is an ATSC compliant HD tuner.. which would mean it can recieve free HD off of a cable line.

I did not know they were broadcasting the local channels via HDTV on the cable line - my understanding is that all the area's in the states would only receive it if the OTA signal was unobtainable, and you would have to pay for that function as part of your cable service.
This card does support OTA - it's sad to see that it does not have a DVI/Component inputs as well. Because of that, to be quite honest, the card in my books isn't all that hot unless if you have a cable provider that will give you software to decrypt the signal on your PC (do any even do that?).

Cable companies in many areas through the US offer basic cable without the use of a decoder box, now with the advent of HDTV many cable companies are also offering a standard of HDTV without the use of encryption for local chanels, this is called ATSC... its not a complete standard... but as of right now, its the best available.
