The act of eating an animal isn't what's destroying the environment. It's the factory farming of these animals that's destroying the environment.

Absolutely. I enjoy hearing others' points of views. I enjoy the freedom of being able to have another point of view and expressing that point of view. I wouldn't want it any other way.

Which would be great except you never listen to anyone's point of view, you dismiss them and try and give us more "facts" that are honestly hilarious, at least for the first 10 pages, now they are just sad. No poop on plants? RIIIIIIGHT

On plants, maybe. But that can be washed off. In plants, not so much. There is poop in your turkey, though. Also, in your chicken, hot dogs, burgers, steaks, etc. Enjoy.

If you are eating poop, you are not eating the right parts of the animal.

It's unnecessary, inhumane, unhealthy, and, due to the factory farming that's necessary to feed 300-million people cows, pigs and chickens, it's bad for the environment.

I answered your question. Now, I have a question -- two questions -- for you (and anyone else who would like to answer them.

What's wrong with not eating animals?

Why aren't you a vegetarian/vegan?

Mmm.. Would you like cheese on your Seabiscuit burger?
Horses could soon be butchered in the U.S. for human consumption after Congress quietly lifted a 5-year-old ban on funding horse meat inspections, and activists say slaughterhouses could be up and running in as little as a month.
...
They estimate a slaughterhouse could open in 30 to 90 days with state approval and eventually as many as 200,000 horses a year could be slaughtered for human consumption. Most of the meat would be shipped to countries in Europe and Asia, including France and Japan.

But if you'll eat one, there's no reason not to eat another because it's cute n fluffy or has been portrayed as majestic or something in a Disney flick.

The federal ban devastated "an entire sector of animal agriculture for purely sentimental and romantic notions," she said.

Although there are reports of Americans dining on horse meat a recently as the 1940s, the practice is virtually non-existent in this country, where the animals are treated as beloved pets and iconic symbols of the West.
Truest part of the article. If you want a pet get a dog or cat. Horses are made for eatin! That and using to flee from bears that are trying to eat you even though they could eat like.. Some berries or picnic baskets or something. Sentimentality has no place in the food chain!

There's no reason to eat any animal, but at least you're an equal-opportunity asshole to all animals. I can respect that.

Having eaten "meat on a stick" variants all over the world I've yet to meet an animal I didn't like.

Many of the veggies on the other hand were pretty nasty when cooked and too dangerous raw.

Spang, have you considered the millions of rodents and other animals that dioe every year as fields are harvested? They jsut lie there and rot, so that is a complete waste!

Also, I eat meat because I like it, and if there is one thing I cannot stand it is a vegetarian who is self righteous, just for that, I will up my meat intake to make up for the meat you aren't eating!

If you eat animals, you contribute to the torture and slaughter of billions of animals each year. You also contribute to the animals that are tortured and slaughtered each year as a result of harvesting the food that is fed to the billions of animals that you people eat. If you also eat fruits and vegetables, as you should, you contribute to the animals that are tortured and slaughtered for the harvesting of that food, too. Your contribution to the torture and slaughter of animals plummets when you stop eating them. And that number continues to fall wen you stop wearing them; when you stop sitting on them; when you stop paying to see them in circuses and rodeos, etc.

The idea isn't to completely end the suffering of animals, because that's virtually impossible. The idea is to greatly lessen the suffering of animals. And you do that when you stop eating them.

No, you don't. That statement only makes sense if you refuse to look at the realities of of industrialized farming.

Again, you're trying to make a justification for your moral choice.
