Internet options are locked out on my work computer. I can't change anything at all on this pos.

I work in a small office of a huge company so the pictures don't bother me so much, but it is not always so easy to just avoid random nws stuff thrown around on this board....and still be able to come to it, that is.

STFU works on mods now thanks to a change made by Sylvus so Stragi can be put on STFU at least.

It actually want even that huge... compared to some of the tit grabbing, ass stroking avatars that were 300k+ yours was less than 50k IIRC.

In my original comment, I quoted 50kb as the max size anyone should need to express themselves with an avatar...Ennia's dancing avatar would have fit under those rules! I'll go with the 25K though over 200K crap fools have been linking as their avatars.

I take it you can't set a limit on the size of linked avatars? Otherwise 50KB would work and you wouldnt have to worry about bandwidth on the VV server. : )

to find the solution to this issue, i think you have to try to come up with a compromise, so that both sides walks away feeling like they got the better part of the deal

yea i know that seems hard, especially in an online forum with people who love to flame

you have one extreme (party 1)

the people at work that can't view anything NWS
when i worked at a big company it was deemed inappropriate and unprofessional to have even a girl in a bikini on your computer desktop etc

and then the other (party 2)

full out porno everywhere we dont care yay boobies



how can we fix it temporarily so that both sides are happy until a better more permanant solution(turning off avatars/sigs) is available

well seeing as it would be unfair to party 1 to allow nws avatars to remain at the time being, we would have to stop their use on the non-nws forums until the permanant solution is implemented, the promised permanant solution should appease party 2 but maybe not enough to make them feel like they have walked away ahead so we may need some other bargaining chip thrown in for their side (5k vvs to keep your booby sig off til permanant solution!) that is just an example ok, so now that party 1 and party 2 both feel like they have walked away winning there is resolution
