I'm just wondering why he got banned?

I can see if someone made a fake name and posted something like "furor sucks dick, lol" I wouldn't ban them for doing that but whatever; it's your rule.

banning someone for the simple fact they aren't using their in game name confuses me. they weren't ranting against anyone personally or trying to hurt anyone's feelings. other people post without using their in game name, are you going to ban them all?

however it's your web site, you can ban whoever you want.

In general we ban everyone who posts and doesn't use an in game name or include it in a sig or something. There are rare circumstances (such as NEO) where the person doesn't play EQ at all, so they are allowed to remain so long as they don't become a nuisance.

I don't like banning people at all, but that's one rule I've tried very hard to enforce from the IGN days.

As amazingly easy as it is to be a raid cleric, you can still fucking suck shit. All the clerical talent I experienced was either twoboxed, a shaman, or Sirensa. The latter having a big mean streak when it came to stragis ((
I'll agree that the cleric role has been reduced to a big bag of gay, but it takes a bit more than an index finger to be an effective big bag of gay.

he's a dickless coward who obviously knows very little about what it takes to run and maintain an efficient high end guild. The recruitment process for most of these guilds exists for many reasons, one which is to gage whether a new recruit is an asset or a liability regardless of their class. Yes REGARDLESS of their class. This moron has been and will continue to be a headache to many guild leaders and officers across many servers as he freely admits. His anonimity preserves his ability to be a parasite to whichever unfortunate guild he belongs to. I wouldn't mind knowing who he is myself, considering that this isn't an IGN forum. It's a forum run by Veeshan players for Veeshan players. Knowing who he is in-game now doesn't effect his mod status anymore.

Well, he was violating one of the three rules that have been laid down on this board. The anon thing by itself is a case-by-case thing, as is trolling, but this account was created specifically to troll anonymously. Read the content of the message and the poster's name. They came here with the intent of talking shit in a vague manner.

Does everyone who trolls or is anonymous get banned? No. But not everyone who speeds gets pulled over either, he just happened to fly past the wrong "officer" at the wrong time. The message was basically worthless anyway, had he not been so vague and started up a solid flamewar, I certainly would have been against banning him so quickly. As it is, perhaps that'll be a lesson for people in the future.

K, I just either figured out how to make it so the regular users can change titles for admins and mods, or I just broke all that functionality. Please test it out and let me know. I can't really test it as I could always change everyone's titles.

I honestly think this place would be much more entertaining if people weren't banned at all. Sometimes people wanna say things but aren't comfortable saying them under their original name for whatever reason. So what?

As long as they're making a valid argument or a good flame about something people agree about why must you ban them? What's the reasoning behind it other than just cuz you want to?
