As to his comment - to some of people you are considered trashy and an idiot. Obviously he is one of the people who think that way. My mom told me if I ever got a tattoo that she would cut it off, she also told me in a less threatening way, to never get one because they are considered trashy.
In my opinion, it depends a lot on what you get and where you get it.

Being a trashy idiot myself, I have a solid black eastern dragon I designed myself on my calf. I've had it about 4 years, and never regretted it. Do I want more? Probably not. I love my mine though, and still love looking at it.
I would post the pic but I dont have site to host it on.
If you get one, just take care of it. Sun is the enemy of a tat.
And get a good artist, nothing is worse then a crappy tattoo, but if you are a trashy idiot, you probably wont notice.

rofl, yeah thanks for the advice but I think I'll take my etiquette lessons from someone who isn't dating a guy she thinks should be in porn that goes to vegas to flash women in a bathroom.
See? That's my point. Your boyfriend feels I am a few IQ points shy of being the next einstein because I have some ink on my arm, and I think he is a classless douchebag for flashing women in a restroom. Bottom line is, we all have our own tastes and morals. Why try to belittle someone because theirs are different than yours?

But, after thousands spent on therapy and countless hours of lost sleep, I'm now able to admit that you're the better man.
It's sad, seeing this comeback come from you...I expected a bit more, as I've grown to respect your intellect over the years. Sadly, I know you're living in a haze though, which is probably blocking your ability to make actually witty reparte. When getting tattoos..do as others say and check out prior work by the artist and make sure it holds up over time.
Also, watch the person doing the inking and make sure they keep the fucken needle perpendicular to your skin. Do not let them 'angle' the colors in. It is a method of spreading less color over more area. In other words, it will fade and look shitty.
Mine is going on 8 years old and has barely faded in that time. Most people think it is still within one to two years old.
That's my only advice...that...and don't get the "teardrop" one under your eye...lots of criminals seem to have that one, and you don't want to be arrested all the time...

When getting sausage toos, do you get a tat when erect or not? That affects the way the tat will show, yes? If you are gonna get a tat there, get a pool stick on the shaft, and a queue ball on the head. Better yet, get a tat of a tree, that way it can grow.
