I actually chose Chicago over Detroit. I want our "People Murdered at Fan Faire" quotient to remain at 0.
Indianapolis is incredibly hard to book and there are no hotels in New Orleans big enough to host Fan Faires.
(Unless we split the meals into shifts...which would be l a m e)

I'm pretty sure there are a couple hotels in N.O. that can handle 3k at a meal...Lemme check with them...

Atlanta. Hmm, no. As a wacky idea, how about one in a place with a lot of subscribers - say, hmm, New York or Los Angeles. I heard a rumor that those two cities are America's first and second most populous. You're going in the right Direction with Chicago. Let's make it a trend.

Never been to Atlanta. Don't have an opinion of it yet.
Although it is in the south... Richmond kind of soured me on the "South". I can only be sneered at and called a "Yankee" so much before I re-declare war.

i coulda been really rambunctious (SP?) and requested the city (and i use the term loosely) that i actually live in..
*EDIT* I should state for the record that i actually hate those cities.. they just happen to be close enough to me that i can drive to a fanfaire which saves mucho on the plane fair.

Fan Faire on the rivers around Austin would be a blast! We could all do the things we did as n00bs on the boats in EQ! Hmm, that COULD result in tube explosions...what kind would all depend on what YOU did on the boats

Dude, I was a springboard diver in high school. Given that I spent every day for ~3 years in a Speedo, it's not that much of a stretch.
Edit: If me putting on a bikini is what it will take to get a FF to happen on the Beach in Malibu, just lemme know.

ah so you've been to the Custer State Park Buffalo roundup in september then where they host the buffalo chip flip contest... never been there myself though.. is it true what they say about staying away from the chip with the steam coming off it?
