Yes, and we're still cheaper than every self-service state in the country more or less

I like the idea...

Especially after hearing about how many people start fires annually from pumping gas incorrectly. Do any other states have this law?

To be honest, I think we may be the only one left, three states tops.

I like it because it keeps gas stations, gas/service stations, not gas/mini-marts. Besides, it's been really cold this winter.

It's a constant battle, self proponents claim price and lower overhead even though, historically, that's never the case. Prices go back to normal levels in three months and full gets more expensive. Full supporters claim that if they go to self, they will lose jobs and money for the huge increase in insurance premiums.

Oregon has a law about pumping gas too if I remember right. I recall getting out to fill the rental car on one business trip and getting really strange looks and then being yelled at by some guy when I actually started to fill my own tank.

As for the prices stabilizing, they never really do. What happens is that the price goes up like 40 cents then after a couple months, it goes down 20 cents. We are all so thankful that gas prices are down that we forget that it is still up from where it was. It has happened over and over for years like this.

I know Oregon is full-service only (as Adelrune just mentioned). Parts of Idaho were full-service only last time I was there, but that may have changed. I'm sure there are others.

Personally, I like pumping my own gas. It's faster and easier for me. But I can understand why some states would prefer to ban self service. Too many idiots and cheapskates out there.

full service only is ridiculous.

people who are too stupid to pump their own gas should go up in a ball of flames.

Full service only means I pay the same for full service as I would for self service in a choice state. Thanks but no thanks

You obviously don't know the joys of insurance costs in NJ
