Yeah I've been on a skid going downhill for the last 5 weeks in all of my leagues. I was really surprised to see I made the playoffs here.

As long as you get in the playoffs in FF it's anyone's game. Last year I had 1 loss all season in this league and was dominating all around...first round bye....then I play my first playoff game in round 2 and get bludgeoned and take my worst beating of the season.

Ok Bubba, all you need is 96 points from Greg Olsen on Monday night and you're in the championship! :)

I feel confident that I'll see Taison in the championship game next week.

I was quite relieved to see the Saints lose today, so they're forced to play their starters (well mainly Brees) in week 17.

p.s. - in the future it's probably best to start playoffs a week earlier and finish up during week 16....not fair to people with good players on good teams who see their guys get sat for a meaningless game.

That's part of the game of fantasy football. Every team has a bench full of other players that they can start if they want.

This is the only league (and I've seen a lot) that does it this way.

Injuries are part of the game, but to lose because your player played so well his team chose to bench him because they didn't need to win is kind of ridiculous.

What happens in those other leagues? Do they just give you 50 points because Peyton Manning is your quarterback? This isn't the first time Peyton Manning has sat out of a meaningless football game. One should know that if Peyton Manning is your quarterback, he probably won't give you many points at the end of the season if his team is fucking awesome, which this one clearly is.

Gratz Spang and Taison.

I was torn all week over Peyton, but I thought it was worth the risk this week since they were going for an undefeated season. I still don't understand the decision today. I understand resting some players in week 17, but week 16, when you have a chance at history still?

Oh well, it was an interesting season. Good luck next week and I will see ya next week for third Bubba. I picked up Orton since he is playing for something.

There's still a chance, albeit a small one, to defeat me. However, if you don't, thank you. I've never done this well before.

I'm not saying people get free points, I meant that most leagues run playoffs weeks 14-15-16 instead of 15-16-17, so the final game of the season that has a lot of players sitting out doesn't change the outcome of your championship.

What the hell is up with these weird super low projections for the championship game? are they really expecting all these teams to sit most of their players?

Yes. If the Vikings beat the Giants in the morning game, the Cardinals have nothing to play for and would most likely sit their starters for most of the game. I'm sure there are similar scenarios that will play out for other teams.

My money FF league holds their championship game in week 16 for this reason. Week 17 should not determine a championship because the stats are too whacked out. Even week 16 is a little screwy.

Hey I posted highest score 2 of the 3 playoff weeks!

Somehow with the worst receiving corps in the league I sqeaked out 3rd.

Grats on the win Spang. :)

(next year....championship in week 16 please...I think half the league either sat people totally or benched them early in this mess)

Killed me last weekend. Peyton being sat, he put up 15 points.

I still do not understand that decision. You basically are playing half games at best and are going into the playoffs with almost a month of not playing together.

I understand teams that would be playing next week giving their players a second half rest, but that decision by the Coits was terrible and it looked like the players were pissed.

Yeah it was the kind of move that if they go out before the AFC Championship it'll be the first thing people point at. It was sad to watch Peyton stand there on the sidelines with his helmet on just waiting to get back in, when he normally just puts on a hat and takes a seat when he's done. There's no benefit to this kind of thing, unless maybe you have a player who isn't at 100% or has been overworked, but to sit most of your healthy starters and let your perfect season go and kill the morale of your team and fans was just mind boggling.
