I doubt this was going on. Looking at the memberlist and sorting by last log in shows very few "non-active" posters being logged in while the poll was up.

Not to mention that board registration has been essentially closed for months now. So unless people had several accounts set up for just this purpose, the wild claims are just that.

1. I have never been under the assumption that this is a democracy, so I don't expect a vote (regardless of how lopsided) to necessarily yield results, and I certainly don't expect the enforcement of moderation to be a democratic event.

2. If Cartalas were un-banned now, then I suspect that no one, especially Cart, would have any respect for the rule of law on this boards; this rule is much more benevolent than IGN, but it is still present and worthy of respect.

While I would've never bitched about an idiotic poster to a moderator (I can ignore things without barely trying), I don't think the banning was uncalled for and I think the notion of revoking the banning is ridiculous. Whether or not you think that it was silly for the people who complained to complain, you can't deny that Cart repeatedly broke the rules. Sylvus was decent enough to send him a pm asking him to cool it for a bit and he decided to be an attention whore about it instead of trying to talk to Syl rationally and privately.
