bah, I know this one I know this one.....I remember who did it, but I can't remember the song....gimme a minute! I actually think Truant brought it up on another board before!

Pearl Jam - Immortality

Ok, I just hit random and pulled lyrics from the first song that came up...honestly....forgot I had this one too.
The only two things in life that make it worth livin
is guitars and two good and firm feelin women
I don't need my name in the marquee lights
I've got my song and I've got you with me tonight
Baby it's time we got back...to the basics of love.

Hell yeah!

Luckenbach, Texas - Waylon Jennings

Lonestar belt buckles and old faded Levi's each night begins a new day
And if you don't understand him and he don't die young
He'll probly just ride away
Continuing on with that theme hehe

Good old Mr. Nelson. Don't let your babies grow up to be cowboys, right?
Now to fit in fast we wear flannel shirts
We turn our amps up until it hurts
We've got bad attitudes and what's more
When we play we stare straight down at the floor

Waylon Jennings AND Willie Nelson!

Luckenbach is also home to Willie's 4th of July picnic, an all day party/concert :P

Snider Todd - Talkin' Seattle Grunge Rock Blues
Great song! Took me a while to figure it out as I haven't heard it in a while. (btw double bonus, for both a Neil Young and a Bob Dylan reference in the same song)
I sing the song because I love the man
I know that some of you don't understand
Milk-blood to keep from running out.
Super easy, but one led to the other.

Neil Young - The Needle and the Damage Done
Femme fatales emerged from shadows
To watch this creature fair
Boys stood upon their chairs
To make their point of view
I smiled sadly for a love I could not obey

David Bowie - Lady Stardust :D
(massive <3 for that album!)
Once there was a way to get back homeward
Once there was a way to get back home
Clipped it so not so obvious.

Golden Slumbers, The Beatles (well, Paul, but you know...)

trixy one, I think:
Relax - put some sounds on
I'll brew up some decaf
C'mon kick off those heels ma'am
Now breathe in and sigh out

here's a hint that might lead you somewhere:
Here come those Santa Ana winds again

Steely Dan - Trans Island Skyway

EDIT: Dorf says no...:/...

Maybe you want Fagen?

Ok Dorf has confuseled himself :)...and I was correct whew...:)

Back to my lyrics:
Can't you picture her next Thursday?
Can you picture her at all?
In the Hotel Boulderado
At the dark end of the hall
I gotta shake myself and wonder
Why she even bothers me
For if heartaches were commercials
We'd all be on T.V.

why don't you sing me that
pretty lullaby
then when you're singing great
pack it all up

I wanna new face right now
and I want it bad
I wanna new body that's strong
I'm a butchered cow

I wanna try and fly
I wanna try and die
I wanna be a pig
I wanna fuck a car

I wanna new face right now
and I want it bad
I wanna new body that's strong
I'm a butchered cow

I wanna be a stupid and shallow mutherfucker now
I wanna be a tough skinned bitch but I don't know how
I wanna be a shiny new baby with a spongy brain
I wanna be a horse fill of fire what will never reign
I love this song, a short intense great song by a great band few know about.

John Prine - Come Back to Us Barbara Lewis Hare Krishna Beauregard
close your eyes
let me touch you now
let me give you something that is real
close the door
leave your fears behind
let me give you what you're giving me
you are the only thing
that makes me want to live at all
when i am with you
there's no reason to pretend
that when i am with you i feel flames again
just put me inside you
i would never ever leave
just put me inside you
i would never ever leave you
*hint*
the entire lyrics to the song are quoted above and the title of the song is in the lyrics to this fine piece of music.
