I really don't post on youtube but just noticed a channel I had created had two 14 year old private videos I uploaded back in 2010. Pretty old for youtube.
This thread goes all the way back 17-18 years to the very early days of youtube.
It would have been so much better with embedded videos!

I mean I guess since you necrod the thread, I'll post one of my videos. I broke my wrist pretty badly in a mountain bike crash last summer, so I picked up drones so that I could get out with my friends still.

That's really good. I enjoyed it. How hard is it to control a drone well enough to trail someone on a bike like that? There looked like a lot of obstacles (trees).
If you lose your job I bet Ukraine would give you $$ to pilot some of their drones : )

Thanks! It took a lot of practice and a lot of crashing to be able to fly like this (I'm going to put together a crash reel sometime soon and I bet I'll be able to make a 4-5 minute video of those, for reference). I broke my wrist in the middle of July and I wasn't able to fly down these trails without crashing until late October, and I flew for 45+ minutes every day the weather allowed during that time frame. I've continued to fly in various sims over the winter to keep practicing so I'm hoping to be able to get some cool footage this year.
I've joked about the drones/Ukraine thing too, but I am toying with ways to just make a few dollars here and there with the drones. Getting licensed for commercial use is actually difficult but I plan to do that soon just to have that box checked.
