Auto Tune News 8
This one goes out to spang, and all the other people with no sense of humor that don't think this is funny
P.S. Since when the fuck did Youtube start having commercials before your video starts playing.. Don't they make enough off all the other ads and marketing on the site without having to do that bullshit.

That was pretty funny, well produced, and very clever. However, I'm still in the "the first clip you linked was a piece of shit" camp

If you liked that one you should watch through the others, some are better than others of course but a couple of them are hilarious.

I have seen this one and had the same reaction. It was like watching a movie where they are making fun of commercials like this by exaggerating things.... but they are actually for real. Like, do you really think that after hearing that someone is going to run to their doctor an be like "hey, I need this NOW". Chantix is the devil, I had the nightmares to prove it.

I know spang hated on auto tune news, but the guys that do them are really talented. They actually do some serious stuff too, and have actually released a cd of serious music. Here is a video they auto tuned of a MLK Jr. Speech -
http://www.youtube.com/user/schmoyoho#p ... bqNaIRW9vY
Obviously it's an amazingly moving speech, and I'm not giving them all the credit, it just actually enhances and adds even more emotion to what is already amazing.
Schmoyoho is there username on youtube.. I would suggest checking their channel out, they have a ton of good shit.

Oh I'm very aware of the definition. However, talent also has a definition, and by definition of technical talent there is nothing you can say to dispute they are talented. So, nice try at proving me wrong or whatever it was you were trying to do, but it was a fail.
I'd be glad to link you the definition of talent if you need any assistance there.
EDIT: People on this site seem to have a massive misunderstanding of the word opinion, come to think of it. Your personal opinion doesn't invalidate fact, period. For example, you can say you like the Twilight books, however when those books are viewed based solely on their technical merit, they
are bad books.

Not sure how talented autotune programing is, but this is a couple of examples of how Autotune can work on anything. If you have ever heard this show, the guy can't even complete a sentence and 2 hours of splicing turned it into a decent representation of the song.

My brother uses autotune to clean up some of his vocal tracks. It's subtle enough that if you were to hear the vocal track alone, you'd be hard pressed to know it has been fixed
The 't-pain' autotune effect that's rampant in pop music these days is less about cleaning up a bad vocal track than it is about getting that specific vocal effect. The only real way to get that specific effect is to have the vocalist sing intentionally out of tune. And it takes very little talent at all to use autotune to achieve that effect. You just need a basic understanding of pro tools.

From what I remember Autotune is a program that is used for purposes like Miir stated. It is also used in live performances to help the occassional flat pitch. It is a beneficial program when used correctly, when used like T-Pain it is an abomination, except on the song "I'm on a Boat" where it is just plain hilarious.
