This whole thread has been rather disturbing. Pedophilia and pedophiles are not funny when they hit close to home but neither is accusing someone of being a rapist. Referring to the darker things in life with humour is a defensive mechanism, a way to deal with something that is unthinkable yet reality. Personally I would rather laugh then cry.

Whether or not what Atokal revealed in his PM is the truth or fiction is not for me to judge since I do not know him. To me Pedophilia is one of the worst crimes a human being can commit against another since it involves children who are innocent and should be protected by adults not abused by them. Being a counsellor when I did my internship I worked at a child crisis center through social services, many of the children I saw day in and out were victims of sexual abuse by pedophiles. Seeing the trauma that these children go through what they have to live with for the rest of their lives, the damage done and the knowledge that they were changed forever and may never recover. Then joking about it is far from one's mind. Its easier to joke about something when it has not affected your life to a personal degree. Pedophilia is a mental disfunction and even considered a disease. My opinion even being a counsellor is that therapy , drugs etc does not work they will reoffend given the chance and I personally would rip out their hearts with my bare hands if I could get ahold of them.

To Atokal although your daughter was at such a young age and may not have been able to verbally express any trauma there are signs that can be expressed. Many play therapists work with young children around her age and it may be an avenue to have her evaluated. There are many different signs such as change in behaviour where she may have started being independent now very clingy, if toilet training was started she may revert back, being afraid of anyone of the male sex, change in appetite, her starting speech may have stopped and on.(these can also be normal signs of a childhood a counsellor trained in dealing with abuse is much better equipped to deal with it ) But the one thing that is important is to not freak out and think that your child was harmed it may not be the case, and yes I know being a parent myself you are going to worry just be calm and be a supportive loving father.

I also do not know Aranuil nor do I judge him because of that yet I see many jump on the bandwagon to go along with the accusations and others to defend him strongly. THis thing with Atokal has been a bit of a running joke though not in length to the repeated accusations of rape against Aranuil. Ever heard of innocent until proven guilty? Where is the evidence? Accusing him then saying that you have PMs but cannot post them due to the victims wanting to remain anonymous is wrong. The accusations should have never been brought out public. When the alleged stalking harassment cyber rape whatever you want to call it happened there are may avenues to persue thats why in game you have the /report feature and the CS to deal with it, outside of the game the email admins and so on. It was not done therefore no real proof since the *victims* have not stepped forward to deal with it.

Also before it gets on a tangent of the Sony CS does squat that is just bullshit. First and foremost sony is a retail company in order to sell their product they have to make their customers happy or they do not buy. Basic retail concept. But rules are in place due to many try to exploit the system making it harder for ones who do not. I am not saying all the rules are fair or that sony is perfect far from it. But I know personally in a situation like this or similar they will act. A few months ago a guildie of mine (in my old guild ) who we did not know his medical history was a manic depressive with suicidal tendencies on medication well he went off his medication and we noticed changes in behaviour and tried to help any way we could though not knowing the full story until one day he had an extreme outburst in guild chat after which the officer core spoke with him. He had threatned suicide in guild chat it was /reported and one officer went to the chat GM since no guides nor GMs were on the server. Chat GM right away checked the report brought up his account information and through sony they contacted the local authorities in his home town. They went over to his home and found him in the middle of harming himself and would have succeeded in ending his life if they had not got there in time. He was institionalized and put back on his medication and back in therapy where I am happy to say he is doing well and thankful that there was intervention done. (and yes we had personal contact with this person to know what happened was true)

So unless you have proof leave the accusations of such a serious thing to more private discussions harming anothers reputation and attacking them in such a personal dark way just for the sheer joy of it watching them suffer is disgusting.

However best you deal with the trauma of life and getting through it is your own as long as it does not hurt another.
