I've seen no stats that reveal 80% of the population as pedophiles. That's far worse in both meaning and in the chance of being accurate.

I see what you are saying about the difference, and while I do acknowledge there is a difference between the two I don't feel the end result of how it makes the target think/feel is all that different, which is what matters, I assume.

And I know what you are saying about the comment about your wife, I know at least one of the comments made about me was also about my girlfriend and it was (I thought) way out of line.. I think stragi might have made it and I doubt he has ever said a serious thing in his life, but excuse me if my sense of humor in that department is lacking.

That being said I am obviously aware of the amount of slack people are cut here, but the only point I was ever out to prove was that people here play favorites, it's blatantly obvious. That being said I also understand the favorites thing, I would probably do the same thing in that situation.. If you play a game with someone every day or know them in real life you are probably going to go to their defense quicker.. I recall there being two rules.

But when I go to the "rules" thread in the "announcements" forum, I see four rules.

Can we get a little clarification?

Also, I'm curious as to whether the (apparently imaginary) no mocking RL pictures rule is that you can't mock other RL PICTURES, or you can't mock others RL APPEARANCE.

For instance:
If someone posted "God, you look so awful and hairy and ugly in that picture," they would be mocking my RL pic.
If someone posted "Shut the fuck up you hairy dipshit," they would be mocking my RL appearance but not my pic.

Are they both unacceptable? Is only #1 unacceptable?

I would like to reiterate that I have zero interest in how this affects Cart's banning. I said my piece on that a YEAR AGO when he was banned and don't have any desire to revisit it. But I am curious as to precisely what the rules are, because, as far as I can tell, we've banned someone for violating a rule that doesn't exist (unless we banned him for violations of the no-trolling rule... which is a little trickier).

Clarification is really not necessary since the rules stated have often and sometimes consistently been broken by several, if not most, of the members of this board, including myself. They are rarely enforced and there is no mention of how they would be enforced (i.e. 1 week suspension). I am actually quite satisfied with the lax environment. The banning is a blatant example of what happens in most organizations I've been exposed to in my life, which is rules are enforced more harshly (which in itself is hypocrisy and injustice) to the outcasts of said organizations. The "rules" are used as an excuse to banish the pariahs, whereas the celebrities face no consequences for comparable and sometimes worse behavior. Unfortunately, it is such consistent behavior among humans that it could be argued it is inherently natural, but that would entail hypocrisy and injustice to be inherently natural to us as well, which is simply not true and worse, it is unfuckingcivilized. Don't piss in my pocket and tell me it's raining. To me, this has never been about Cart, I neither like him nor hate him. It has to do with the blatant way you people deny your obvious intolerance. Just admit that you hate the motherfucker enough to commit injustice to get rid of him instead of being a fucking coward and pretending your lame fucking excuses are legitimate.

The banning is a blatant example of what happens in most organizations I've been exposed to in my life, which is rules are enforced more harshly (which in itself is hypocrisy and injustice) to the outcasts of said organizations. The "rules" are used as an excuse to banish the pariahs, whereas the celebrities face no consequences for comparable and sometimes worse behavior. Unfortunately, it is such consistent behavior among humans that it could be argued it is inherently natural, but that would entail hypocrisy and injustice to be inherently natural to us as well, which is simply not true and worse, it is unfuckingcivilized. Don't piss in my pocket and tell me it's raining. To me, this has never been about Cart, I neither like him nor hate him. It has to do with the blatant way you people deny your obvious intolerance. Just admit that you hate the motherfucker enough to commit injustice to get rid of him instead of being a fucking coward and pretending your lame fucking excuses are legitimate.

I don't think you could have delivered that message more powerfully if you had tattooed it on your cock and rammed it into the collective fnord ass.

What Xyun said is basically what I've been trying to say, but he did a better job at relaying the point. The only place we disagree is that I liked cart as part of vv, he was a counter balance to a lot of the other douchebags here that make me sick to my stomach on a daily basis.
