The Trial of Kaldaur
Just as court had come to session, everything went dark. Kaldaur sat there, immediately noticing there was no panic or commotion from others in the courtroom. Silence and Darkness endured for another minute, as he considered the possiblity he was no longer in the courtroom. Who could've done such a thing? There is only one... and then the lights came up.
"Up to no good again I see, Kaldaur... I'm taking over as judge of this trial.", Q said as he snapped his fingers. Judge Fash disappeared from his seat.
"According to the detectives, you're a very shady character.. I will allow you to speak your mind.. and then let's see what the rest of these puny humans have to say."
Kaldaur, please post your defense.
The Trial of Rellix
Rellix has been arrested and brought in front of the court for the murder of Lohrno. The detectives claim that the recently deceased citizen had suspected him prior to his death and this suspicion had spread to others.
Rellix, please post your defense.
Voting will open when defenses have been posted or at 1pm PST. Voting will remain open until 6pm PST.

It appears I have been accused as part of the Mafia, although the proof is extremely lacking. After analyzing the possible motives for such an idea, I have come to the conclusion that many of you are being lead on by nothing more than a simple liar.
In my actual accusation, I was suspected by someone who has not kept to his word:
As for my whereabouts yesterday? You can ask many people (especially in irc) and they can tell you that I was setting up a new Maxtor 160gb Hard Drive. I took a video today with my roommate's camera that shows me in IRC with the Maxtor Hard Drive box sitting next to the keyboard. Please note, it was my roommate's camera, and I was simply trying to take a picture.

As a side note, my voice isn't usually that high pitched
In my actual accusation, I was suspected by someone who has not kept to his word:
Lohrno then, insists that I have been Mafia all along, yet there is no real proof. However, one must consider the validity of Lohrno words throughout this entire ordeal:Rellix has been arrested and brought in front of the court for the murder of Lohrno. The detectives claim that the recently deceased citizen had suspected him prior to his death and this suspicion had spread to others.
Lohrno wrote:Tenuvil, I'm gonna kill you off tonight! Hope your life insurance policy is up to date! =D
Is Lohrno telling the truth? Well, it's quite possible except:RIP Citizen Tenuvil
Now, Lohrno has made his voice clear many times over the last couple days, and if you look closely, many of his words were simply consistent lies. The choice is up to you, but I must bring up that while we have only had one day of voting so far, I did vote not guilty (as I have in previous Mafia games while proven a citizen) for both men at trial.RIP Citizen Lohrno

I fail to see how posting an elaborate defense in hopes that I not be put to death, automatically makes me guilty. If I posted "omghi2u, i am not guilty pls don't v0te bad 4 me kthx" would you see it differently? Trust me, I have enough time on my hands that I could have written a novel as a defense.

I'll say Rellix- Guilty and Kal guilty ( untill I see a defense on his behalf then I may be inclined to change the guilty to not-guilty)
imo the alibi or lack there of, is weak...he could have killed someone before or after he installed his hard drive. For some reason Lohrno suspected Rellix, as stated in an earlier post and the only real evidence that Rellix brings to the table to contradict Lohrno is his clearly "sarcastic" (imo) posts about killing Tenuvil. None of that sticks because as Lohrno was killed he was proven to be a citizen..And on top of all that, Rellix voted Drinsic not guilty when he was proven to be Mafia...

hence the resaon for my death, i couldn't find that fine line between coming up with something too complex and keeping it too simple. i think it was b/c i am not part of teh fnord?Rellix wrote:I fail to see how posting an elaborate defense in hopes that I not be put to death, automatically makes me guilty. Noted I am just giving my opinion on why I vote him guilty...not tryin to sway to either side... If someone else wants to base their voting habits off of my own then that is clearly up to them. I vote how I see fit to and try to base it off the given evidence/alibi's the best that I can

Ladies and gentlemen of the jury
Does this look like the face of a guilty man?
<-Rellix
Obviously not. Your just hating on blackie. The moment one homie trys to rise up y'all sentencing him to death.
Remember people, if the glove don't fit you must acquit.

Rellix's defense is good up until the recording. Even he noted that his voice was high pitched (panic at being caught?). Lohrno may have known more than we'll ever know (dead men tell no tales) but I think Rellix is trying to confuse the issue at hand, his guilt, with the untimely death of Tenuvil.

Kaldaur - Not guilty
Most guilty and inncoent people rush to an elaborate and often shitty defense, he stands silent and in the past, the majority of silent people have been silent at their hearing, and have died innocent men and women. I think he's innocent.
If he posts a defense this may change.

Rellix - Seems WAY to defensive to be innocent. I have never seen anyone post so much counter evidence. Fishy. Guilty.
Kaldaur - No defense posted, and its almost time for Lost and Alias. I think if he were mafia, he would visit the board more frequently and thus would have posted a defense by now. Not guilty.

Of the people that have posted defenses:
Guilty - Citizens - Mafia - Detectives
11---------5----------6---------0
Not G - Citizens - Mafia - Detectives
4-----------2----------1---------1
Of the people that did not post defenses:
Guilty - Citizens - Mafia - Detectives
0-----------0--------0----------0
Not G - Citizens - Mafia - Detectives
1-----------1---------0----------0
As you can see, it has been 50/50 with those who are voted guilty. and it is 50/25/25 with those who are voted not guilty. Regardless of what you vote, according to the past two games and the current one, the chances are 50% (according to history not statistics) that you are killing an innocent person. All facts that have been brought forward to those that did not post a defense show a 100% citizen record.

The Judgement of Kaldaur
Q went through a quick change of emotions....
"What a bloodthirsty little city you live in, Kaldaur... They've strung you up without any evidence at all! Too easy... Too easy indeed. I didn't even have to trick you into anything... after this I've totally lost interest in humanity." Q said as he arose and walked towards the aisle... "Meet your executioners," and with a snap, they were standing in the courtroom. Pakleds.
"You are sentenced to a quick death at the hands of the Pakleds on their home world," another snap and Kaldaur, the Pakleds, and Q were gone.. Judge Fash was back in the chair, and another citizen had been taken.
RIP Citizen Kaldaur

The Judgement of Rellix
Rellix impatiently waited for the verdict... The judge read it.. guilty by a huge margin. He screamed, "SUCK IT TREBEK!!!!"
In the back of the courtroom stood up, none other than... alex fucking trebek. naked.
"SUCK IT RELLIX!!", said Alex... and the rest of the courtroom picked up the chant.
The Judge added, "In light of this... new evidence... I sentence you to do just that.."
RIP Rellix the Mafia... died while choking.

Blow by blow.
The desert. A peaceful place, where the vultures and the ghosts of fallen illegal mexican immigrants roam freely without fear of being chased away by the Supernatural INS. Besides, the Ghostbusters were busy up in New York trying to find a way to write a sequel to two great movies without bankrupturing Hollywood to care about the ghost of Pico and his twelve sons, but I digress.
The only sounds that could be heard for miles around where the soft warnings of rattlesnakes, the eerie silence from the cacti as they paitently waited for their next unsuspecting victim.. oh yes, the cacti had plans. But the one sound that didn't belong in this moonlight night were the muffled grunts of the citizen being beaten out in a place where no man nor woman would ever want to tread - behind the back door of the Tit-QuietCommon Pyramid of Earthly Delights.
If you had ever seen the back of it, trust me - you wouldn't have wanted to be there. The broken glass, the syringers, the used condoms filled with material that prooved once and for all that sperm can mold, and the two mafiosos beating the ever living hell out of Aevian Darklear. They had even brought their own aprty favors - mallets, lead pipes, chains, and wifflebats. The wifflebat hurt the worst.
... since they saved it to smash into his sack.
Once they were content that his legs, arms and hips were well and broken, they drug the half conscious citizen over to a ditch and plopped him in. The two looked at each other, surprised he could take such a beating without dieing, and as one, they shrugged.
It took an hour for them to bury him alive. It didn't take him nearly as long to suffocate on the dirt and debris that filled his mouth and eventually his lungs.
RIP Citizen Aevian Darklear

I'm lovin' it.
The raid was going off without a hitch, the detective throught. They had found their target sitting in a McDonalds, happily eatting some gressball burger and an o rder of fries. The fact that there were kids around wasn't going to be enough to sway the police force as they charged into the fast food restraunt with full SWAT combat gear on.
Their MP5's cut loose with a withing hailstorm of bullets right off the bat. The assassin and her bodyguards perished in a firey hailstorm of bullets that sent blood spraying over the countertops like so much katchup over the faces of the startled,s creaming customers.
With the last link to Team 2 out of the way, Detective Mak smiled as he watched from inside his patrol car parked out on the street. Such a shame. I'd woulda hit it. he mused.
An unfamiliar voice broke his concentration as kunckles rapped at his passenger side window. "Detective Mak?" the voice called out.
"Yeah, what it is?" he asked, turning around to face the newcommer.
"We heard you were plannin' some sort of Big Mak Attack today. This your work?" the voice drawed. Despite his best efforts, he couldn't see the face of his inquirer.
Mak smiled. "Sure is. With Fiffie out of the way, we can start looking for those other Crimebosses."
"You won't have to look too far," his killer told him.
"Oh, why's that?"
"We're right beside you," another voice informed him. Mak turned around to catch a glimpse of the other person as he fumbled to draw his gun - but it was too late. The first one laughed and very calmly tossed a high explosive grenade into hte back of his squad car, and just as quickly, ran off as Mak tried bail from his soon-to-be-burning coffin.
He failed.
Minutes later, passersby heard two odd looking characters laughing. "He's had his break today!"
RIP Detective Mak

Morning has once again illuminated the events of the previous night - but not well. Two teams of mafia remain, and Detective - they're quite good at killing your kin. I'd advise finding a way to be certain of those whom you send to their final fates; and citizenry, remember, if the last detective dies tonight, your odds at survival take a very steep turn for the worst.
I'll be hearing from you - or about you - tonight..
Good luck.
